ASP (Afterschool Program) News: What a wonderful semester for our extracurricular clubs! Thank you to all the students who participated. Please note that all extracurricular clubs conclude next week. Homework club and Kindergarten club will continue until December 19th. Stay tuned for our winter semester offerings in the new year! For any questions or concerns, please email aspadmin@selwyn.ca.

Reminder from your Learning Strategists: We’d like to remind you about our ongoing commitment to supporting students' social and emotional growth through the Zones of Regulation program. This program helps children identify and understand their feelings, using a color-coded system to express and regulate their emotions. We are continuing to integrate this program into our daily routines, empowering students with tools to manage their emotions, improve self-awareness, and develop better social skills. We encourage you to continue these conversations at home to reinforce these important skills. Together, we can help our students build resilience and emotional intelligence.

Dress for the weather: We will send the boys out for recess even through the snowy days of winter. Make sure your son has appropriate outerwear, including snow pants, boots, hats, mitts and neck-warmers. Boys must have a pair of indoor-only school shoes to change into for class.

Lost and Found!: The lost and found items from all around the school are now displayed in the hallway near the front entrance of the Lucas Building ready to be picked up. Photos of some of the items can be found HERE. Be sure to check if anything belongs to your family so you or your son can pick them up as soon as possible. Any items remaining on December 20 will be donated.

Special concert assembly dress: On Friday, December 6 Elementary School students need to bring a large plain long sleeved shirt with no collar to wear during the elementary school music assembly. The theme of the Music Assembly is “Ancient Times”.

Holiday Cheer at Selwyn House!: The whole school is invited to participate in the special dress days to celebrate the festive season (see attached poster). Students are expected to wear full SHS uniform if they aren’t participating in these holiday themed days.
