BHS Believe Academy Hosts Annual Unified Prom
Bloomfield High School’s Believe Academy hosted its annual Unified Prom this past Wednesday for many local life skills students. Schools such as Rockville High School, Stafford HIgh School, Avon High School, and the Lighthouse Transition program from Niantic joined the Aloha themed event.
Unified Prom is an opportunity for students with special needs to have a school dance. It is specifically created to make prom an enjoyable experience for them and promotes inclusion in the community. This prom is free of charge to all attendees and is held during school day.
Thank you to Mrs. Angiletta and her staff, all of the volunteers, and of course the prom goers who had a great time dancing the day away. The Unified Prom was a great success!
