GHS Parents Advisory Council (PAC)
Mark your calendars! The first PAC meeting of 2025 is next Tuesday, January 21 at 6pm in the first floor of the GHS library. We will have a special guest from the Bozeman Schools Foundation. Amelia Huba will speak about houseless students in the district and what resources are provided to assist them and their families. Please join us to learn more about this important subject, as well as updates from Principal Schnee about GHS.
If you miss the meeting, or to view information from previous meeting, please visit GHS PAC Parent Resources. Highlights, as well as the schedule for upcoming PAC meetings can be accessed there.
The officers of the GHS PAC hope to see you next week and at future meetings. They are a great way to gain valuable information about initiatives affecting GHS students, faculty, and staff. There is no ongoing commitment required - attend as often as you would like!

Host a Japanese student from our sister school in Okinawa this spring!
Naha Kokusai Secondary School in Okinawa, Japan, has been Gallatin High’s Sister School since 2020. Teachers and administration on both sides of the exchange have been working to coordinate a visit from Okinawan students to Gallatin High and the Bozeman Community this spring.
Currently, we are looking for families/couples to host these 20 students and 2 teachers from Okinawa. This document (click here for more details) gives an overview of the responsibilities expected of, and opportunities offered to, host families. If you are willing and able to explore this wonderful opportunity for cross-cultural exchange, please complete the interest form. Thank you for your interest!
Construction Academy Information
The District is working hard to build out career pathways in our high schools that connect our career and technical education (CTE) courses to dual-credit and workplace learning opportunities. Through the MT Advanced Opportunities Act we have been able to hire Career Outreach Coordinator, Karl Schwartz, to lead the charge.
One exciting program anticipated for the 2025-2026 school year is the launch of Construction Academy, a dual-credit construction trades class for students at Bozeman and Gallatin High Schools. This public-private collaboration will provide students with hands-on experience in the construction field, starting with building sheds and with hopes of eventually expanding to the construction of single family homes to support employee housing challenges. The District is currently seeking financial or in-kind support from construction industry partners to get this off the ground - Click HERE for details on the request for support.
For an overview of the course click HERE. For more information on the Advanced Opportunities programs within Bozeman Public Schools visit the website: https://www.aobozemanmt.org For questions or to learn more about how you can support the Construction Academy, please contact Karl Schwartz at 406-404-4882 or by email at karl.schwartz@bsd7.org.
