Thanksgiving Break

As you know, THANKSGIVING is coming up!! That means schools will be closed the week of Monday, November 25 through Friday, November 29th. Classes will resume on Monday, December 2nd! Enjoy your break and your time together with family and friends!

Progress Reports

Can you believe it! Progress Reports are here! Please check Infinite Campus tomorrow to check on your student's progress in each class! After this progress report students have a little over three weeks to get everything done to earn credits for this current quarter (Quarter 2)! There's STILL TIME to earn all the credits for this quarter--SO ENCOURAGE YOUR STUDENTS TO NOT GIVE UP!! They can do it!! If you have any questions or concerns about particular grades or assignments, please reach out to our Teachers!

"Model" Continuation High School Visit

Rancho Vista is in the running to be selected as a "Model Continuation High School"--which is quite an honor. To evaluate if we actually are selected the State is sending out a team that will tour our school and make a final determination. Part of what they'd like to do is TALK TO YOU--THE PARENTS! Would you be interested in participating? We absolutely need to have around 5 parents to talk with the visiting team. If you're interested, please call or email us!!! THANK YOU!!! Our Superintendent, Dr. Gary Woods, came to our Career Fair last week! He interviewed one of our students as you can see below! Check it out!

Welcome to our TVUSD Web Store! To get started... 1. Create an account. 2. Add your student(s) to your account under "My Family". 3. Begin shopping for products. Note: Student ID#'s are located on the student's Infinite Campus page. Drop any leading 00's in the student ID.

This year graduating seniors will need to complete 30 hours of community service! We'll be highlighting different opportunities in this newsletter. Students can also see additional service opportunities that are listed at the counseling clerk's desk! Check them out and get those 30 hours done!

If our young women at Rancho Vista are interested in attending they should contact, Ms. Sindermann at the front office. Every year that students go they always express what a great experience this conference has been! Check it out!

Tips to Using the Video Doorbell

a) hold your ID card 2-3 inches from the screen

b) hold it steady so we can see it

c) Remember that there's a time lag...Hold the card there until you hear us buzz you in!

Students: If you come to the front door of the school and don't have a school ID, we'll be asking for you to get one as soon as you enter the school! It only takes a few minutes!! That will make it easier each time you need to be "buzzed in" through the video doorbell system!

Students may NOT order food to be delivered to school through Grub Hub, Door Dash, Uber Eats or any food delivery. If a parent brings food in, it can only be for their student and it must be left with the front office and the student may pick it up during lunch time only.

Ms. Yesenia Lopez is our Social Worker!! Ms. Yesenia works with all students at Sparkman Alternative Education Center--which includes, of course, Temecula Valley Adult School, Susan Nelson HS, and Rancho Vista HS! If you need assistance please let her know!
