Wasco Weekly
October 11, 2024
Wasco Families,
Thank you for joining us at our recent Parent-Teacher Conferences! We hope you enjoyed your time with our teachers and getting a peek into your child's school life.
During your visit, you may have heard about our Wasco Expectations. These are guidelines we use to create a positive learning environment where every child can thrive. Our main goal is to help your child grow both academically and socially, starting right in their classroom.
We're so proud of who your children are becoming! Each one of them brings something special to our school community. Our commitment to your child’s learning is outlined in our district’s Strategic Plan, and our goal is to ensure your child shines in class and beyond!
I'd love to hear from you! If you have any questions about our Wasco Expectations, the Strategic Plan, or ideas on how we can make our school even better, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Together, we can make Wasco Elementary an amazing place for your child to learn and grow!
Kind Regards,
Mrs. Stephanie Brennan

Respect Recognition Announcement
Last week, teachers were asked to recognize students that they believe demonstrate respect in our school. The following students were recognized by our Wasco Staff. They will receive a certificate and have their photo proudly displayed on our Respect bulletin board. Please join me in congratulating:
This month, October, our SEL Theme is Growth Mindset, Self-Efficacy and “The Power of Yet”. What does the power of yet mean? In essence, the word means a realization that some things are worth waiting for, and those things take work. It's not always easy, but the power of this small word allows for success. Our Wasco Staff will be looking for students that are able to demonstrate this ability to not give up and persevere even when things get difficult. You may not be able to do something yet, but with some effort and work, you will get it.
This month’s SEL Theme is Growth Mindset and Self-Efficacy.
