Dear Colfax Families,

We are excited to announce a new way for our PTA to keep you informed and connected! Starting now, we will begin using this brand-new platform to communicate with you via this weekly electronic newsletter. The newsletter will be sent out every Friday, bringing you all the latest updates, events, and news related to our PTA.

Our goal is to ensure that you have easy access to all the important information, so you never miss out on any upcoming activities or announcements. We hope you’ll find this new format helpful and convenient as we work together to support our school and community.

Colfax PTA

We took a chance this year and instead of our traditional Jog-a-thon we leveled up to a COLOR RUN!! This change up brings a new level of excitement to the fundraiser for the kids and was a HUGE success this year raising a whooping $20,570!!! This is the most donations ever raised, all going back to your students education and classrooms, with an amazing 43% participation! It takes a community and Colfax did not disappoint!

Thank you to everyone who came out to support our Colfax Elementary 5th & 6th graders at their first car wash last Saturday! They worked incredibly hard today and raised an amazing $1,030.44! At $350 cost per student, this money truly makes a difference. Our Colfax community is the best, and we couldn’t have done it without you! It was such a HUGE success that we are doing it again this Sunday Sept 29th at 333 S Auburn St, Colfax. Come out and help send out 5th & 6th graders to Science Camp!

Thank you to everyone who purchased Butter Braids and Cookie Dough! The 5th & 6th graders were able to earn a whooping $1933.60 to offset the cost of Science Camp. This was another huge success and now we will all have yummy treats for the holidays, or even family treat! IMPORTANT NOTE: Butter Braids and Cookie Dough orders will need to be picked up promptly after school on Wednesday 10/9. There will be nowhere to hold them and freeze them so please plan accordingly.

Join us Friday October 25th for our annual Fall Festival! We will have a live band, food, games, haunted houses, cake walk and more! Come join us for this fun family event!

Bring in a bag of Halloween Candy! This candy gets used at all of the carnival games at Fall Festival. The class that brings in the most weight in candy will win a party from the PTA.

Dollar Friday will be on the first Friday of the month, the same day as Bulldog Blasts, and paired with the PTA Spirit Store.This change will support growth for the schools PBIS Program and to allow Student Council more opportunity to do their own fundraisers on Fridays.

Join us Saturday October 5th from 9-11 am for a Campus Clean up. Let's keep our school beautiful! This month we will focus on trash pick up and helping clean up the debris around the ground drains before the rain comes. There is still plenty of weed whacking to be done too so feel free to help with that as well! Kathy will be in the parking lot at 9 am to help everyone get started. If you show up after that feel free to just jump in where needed!
