NCCSE Procedural safeguards
Procedural safeguards are legal protections for students with disabilities and their families to ensure their rights are protected throughout the special education process. These safeguards are designed to ensure that children with disabilities receive a free appropriate public education (FAPE) and that parents are fully informed and involved in decisions regarding their child's education.
