Message from the Principal's Desk...
The temperatures are continuing to drop and soon we will see snow. Please make sure your child is coming to school prepared for the weather. Students should expect to have outdoor recess everyday, so they will want hats and mittens as well as a warm coat. When the snow starts to fall, students will need snow pants and boots to play in the snow, otherwise, they will be asked to stay on the blacktop area of the playground.
During the month of November we celebrated Veterans' Day with an assembly. All of our students gathered on the front lawn and watched as the flag was raised. We then recited the Pledge of Allegiance and our own Ms. Wellman (music) led the students in the singing of "Bless Our Troops" and "We Are Proud of Our Veterans". It was a very moving experience.
Also November brought World Kindness Day on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 and Ms. Short and Mrs. Walker created some fun for our students in the gymnasium as their act of kindness. The students were all provided 10 minutes, to play with a floor covered in balloons. See the photos below.
The PTO also hosted an indoor movie night complete with popcorn. Everyone found a comfortable spot in the gymnasium and watched Despicable Me 4. Most of the PTO events are free, they just request that parents accompany their child when attending these events. Thank you to our PTO for bringing our families together every month!
Lastly, a huge shout out to our Girls On The Run team. They have been practicing for months to run a 5k race in Concord. Saturday, November 16th was the big day and our girls ran an amazing race with them all crossing over the finish line! We are so proud of them all!
We have some exciting events coming our way for the month of December as well. Be sure to check them out below! I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season and safe break from school! We will see you next year!
Congratulations to Ms. Laura Short!
She is the Spotlight Volunteer for the Kid's Heart Challenge by the American Heart Challenge. When asked "Why do you support the KHC/AHC?", she responded with "I support the KHC because the messages and lessons to the students and their families are very important. It is great to have a program to help reinforce/drive home points we are making in PE and Health classes."

Check out our new Car Drop Off Lane
As parking is so limited around our building, we are utilizing the car drop off lane behind the school on Abbott Street this year for the mornings only. Please note that the right hand side of Abbott St. is a Car Drop Off Lane Only. Please do not park in this lane. There will be staff members stationed behind the school starting at 8am to welcome your children. Please have your child prepared to leave the vehicle on the right hand side, so as soon as you pull up the child may easily exit the vehicle and the car lane may keep moving forward.
If you would like to walk your student up to the school, please find an appropriate place to park and avoid this lane.
Thank you for your cooperation!
