JAMS AND JELLIES
Learn both hot pack and freezer methods to preserve Jams and Jellies! Bring a box to carry home your samples!

PAINTING, DRAWING,CRAFTS
PAINT BLOSSOMS IN MIXED MEDIA WITH MELISSA GANNON
Use sponges, heavy paper, palette knife, and/or paper towels to make creative marks and stamps. Spatter wet paint for more creative marks. Add iridescent gold for a bit of bling. A photo reference for the blossoms will be supplied. A basic layout and composition will be suggested. Work in layers and add collage to create added depth. Rather than being a structured step by step class, this class will leave each participant with a lot of room for individual interpretation. Color mixing step by step with this limited palette will be part of the instruction in this class. Have fun and experiment to create a loose, creative interpretation of Flower Blossoms.

OIL PAINTING BOB ROSS STYLE WITH JUDY STUBB
De-stress and relax! Offered 1 Friday per month, Judy Stubb, certified Bob Ross Instructor will start you with a blank canvas and help you leave with a completed masterpiece in just 3 to 4 hours! This “Wet-on-Wet” technique is a very simple, easy to follow method anyone from beginners to seasoned painters can master.

COLLAGE - CREATIVE EXPLORATION
Interested in exploring Collage? We will work with a wide assortment of colored and textured papers, scraps, old book pages and personal items you choose to add! Collage allows for spontaneous and layered work that can be beautiful, personally meaningful and fun and easy to do! Serafine can help you get focused and get started with materials for inspiration. Discuss ideas about the process and see examples and design concepts to help your pieces! (2 day class)
Please bring any materials that you want to incorporate into you collage - magazines, newspapers, old paintings, old books or personal items. The instructor will also provide materials.

SUN-PRINTED CYANOTYPE ART WITH MIKAYLA MOORE
Use sunlight and cyanotype paper to create striking blue-and-white prints from natural objects and found materials. This is an engaging introduction to this historic photographic process.

STAINED GLASS FOR BEGINNERS WITH MIKAYLA MOORE
Join us for an opportunity to create your very own stained glass Suncatcher! In this 3 week workshop, you will learn the copper foil method of stained glass as you cut, grind, foil and solder your creation. There will be a variety of beginner friendly patterns for you to choose from. No experience is required, however a certain amount of hand strength is required to cut glass. (If you have any concerns, please contact us) Booklet summarizing what you learned, and how to take care of your Suncatcher is provided. Students are required to be 18+.

Gladiator Football Camps will be under the direction of GHS Varsity Football Coach Doug Sommer and his staff. Learn football fundamentals, including techniques on ball handling, passing and tackling. Work on the fundamentals of offense and defense. Wear comfortable clothing and football shoes. Bring a water bottle.

Located at 1050 Portland Ave, The mission and vision of the Gladstone Community Center is to enhance the vitality and wellness of a multigenerational community through meaningful connections. The Community Center will provide an enriching space for community connections. We intend to continue to encourage and provide space for group activities, meals, recreational classes, share information about health and wellness, as well as other social gatherings that occur within a community. Lunch, Activities, and Transportation, as well as other program and services are provided Mon - Fri from 8:00 - 4:00 PM.

What if I request a refund?
If you enroll in an ongoing class (not a one time class) and you feel it is not for you after trying the first one, we will issue you a full refund. For one time classes, cancellation must be received 48 hours prior to the class beginning. (Supply fees may not be refunded if not cancelled 1 week prior to class starting)
