Mrs. Kristina Crowder was named the 2023-24 LCPS Special Education Advisory Committe (SEAC) Inclusive Educator of the year! We are so proud of her for this accomplishement and look forward to celebrating with her at the LCPS awards ceremony on June 5! Great work Mrs. Crowder!

• Thank you to out PTA for a wonderful Teacher Appreciation Week celebration. We all felt the love!
• SOL Testing is underwary for students in grades 3-5 this week. Please make sure your children are well rested and have a good breakfast on the day of testing. Remember to encourage them to just give their best effort and remind them that they are well prepared for these tests.
  
• Our May PTA meeting provides us with the opportunity to vote in a new PTA Board for the 24-25 school year. Please join at 7 PM in the library to be a part of this important process and remember the following.
• You must be present in person to vote.
• You must be a current member of the PTA.
• Only one vote is accepted per family.
• Please use our attendance line at 571-252-2901 or ParentVUE to report your child's absence from school.

Yes, the spring is almost upon us and with that comes Kindergarten registration. We can't wait to welcome our newest Pythons to the family. This is also the time to register any student in grades 1-5 who will be new to EMES or LCPS next year.

FOR 2024-25 KINDERGARTEN ENROLLMENT -- Online pre-registration for kindergarten students and all students new to LCPS will open at 8 AM on February 1, 2023 by clicking on this link:https://www.lcps.org/Page/228770

Kindergarten registration meetings will begin on March 1 at Evergreen Mill. Please click here or below to schedule a virtual registration appointment with our registrar Mrs. Eder.

The student's 5th birthday must be no later than September 30, 2024. Exception possible for active military children. Contact the Senior Registrar at 571-252-1238. There are NO other exceptions to this Virginia State law.

Mrs. Owens is available to support all students and families at Evergreen Mill. The role of the Family Liaison includes, but is not limited to, the following duties:

• Supporting parents with ParentVUE
• Organizing and sustaining our Backpack Buddies program.
• Organizing and sustaining our Food Recovery Program
• Building strong community partnerships.
• Serving as a resource to families and children in need of food, clothing, shelter, medical services, counseling service, and a variety of other supports. We do not provide these items on site, rather we direct you to and connect you with the resources available within the community.
