Beginner Band Epic waters Spring Trip April 11th

North Texas Festival of Distinction-

• April 24th Honor Band Performance Time 6:15pm

Symphonic Band Clarinets will be moved from Wednesday morning to Thursday morning due to TELPAS testing. All other sectionals are at normal times.

Don't forget we have All-Star Rehearsals every Monday from 3:45-4:40pm!

This trip is for ALL beginners! They must have a form and money turned in by March 31st. Scholars also have to be passing ALL their classes on the six weeks check of April 4th(report card) and must stay out of trouble(ISS/SAC). The rest of the details are below. Each scholar received a form to take home and get signed so make sure it makes it out of their backpacks!

Beginner Band Epic Water Festival Trip

Friday, April 11th

All Band students that have not had a behavioral referral and have passed ALL CLASSES are eligible to go to Epic Waters with us on Friday, April 11th. If any students gets a behavioral referral before April 11th they will no longer be able to go to Epic Waters and their fee will not be refunded. EVERY STUDENT MUST HAVE A SIGNED PERMISSION SLIP TO ATTEND THE TRIP. They are due no later than Friday, March 31st. Ticket Price: $40- Cash or Check payable to Alvarado JH Band. Students will need to bring money for food/concessions (or bring a sack lunch), money for a locker (optional), and clothes/sunscreen.

Students are responsible for all items they bring with them.

Schedule:

• 8:15 am- Meet in band hall (Wear swimsuit under band shirt)
• 8:45 am Leave for Epic Waters
• 9:30 am Arrive at Epic Waters
• 10:00 am Public Performance (Band shirt is required)
• 10:30 am Play in Waterpark
• Eat lunch on your own (Bring sack lunch or money)
• 2:30 pm Load busses
• Arrive back at school before school end

Students will not be required to stay with a chaperone while in the park. We DO still need parent chaperones to go. Chaperone ticket cost will be $30. Chaperones must stay until all students are loaded on the bus at 2:30pm.

All Star Band Festival Trip

Wednesday, April 23rd

The All Star Beginning Band will be attending the North Texas Festival of Distinction on Wednesday April 23rd followed by an optional trip to Alley Cats in Burleson on Saturday April 26th. The schedule is found below. This performance is MANDATORY for your scholar, but they are not required to go to Alley Cats on the following Saturday. If you would like your scholar to go to Alley Cats on Saturday, please fill out the section below and enclose 25 dollars (check or cash) in an envelope. If you would not like your scholar to attend Alley Cats, you will need to fill out the sheet and select no at the bottom. EVERY STUDENT MUST HAVE A SIGNED PERMISSION SLIP TO ATTEND THE TRIP. They are due no later than April 5th. Ticket Price: $25- Cash or Check payable to Alvarado JH Band. Food will be provided to your scholar at Alley Cats.

• 9:45 am- Meet at AJHS
• 10:00 am- Depart for Alley Cats in Burleson (1258 SW Alsbury Blvd)
• 11:00 am- Arrive at Alley Cats
• 1:00 pm - Leave Alley Cats
• 1:30 pm- Return to AJHS

We HIGHLY encourage all parents to attend the performance at Richland High School! This is one of our biggest competitions of the year! If you are available to chaperone, please reach out to Mr. Bailey. It is free of charge to attend as a chaperone! We desperately need people to ride the buses. (We are taking 3 buses!)
