🌳 A Note from Pete
Happy Social Work Month!
Dear Colleagues,
As we enter March 2025, it is important to recognize that this month also marks Social Work Awareness Month. The theme for 2025 is “Compassion + Action." Clinical Social Workers, along with our allied helping professionals, including LMHCs, LCATs, and LMFTs, represent a significant portion of licensed practitioners delivering behavioral health, mental health, and relationship-oriented services to individuals facing a diverse array of challenges.
It is essential to acknowledge that "macro" issues (social, political, economic, and environmental) outside the scope of individuals and families have a direct impact on the "micro" issues contributing to uncertainty, depression, anxiety, addiction, and relational conflict.
In light of this, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude and recognition to all members of the helping professions, as well as those who provide indirect support and assistance. The prevalence of worry, pain, and suffering highlights the high demand for individuals who can offer care, compassion, and connection. We are indeed in this together. Thank you for your often unrecognized and unacknowledged status as "first responders." Your contributions are seen and valued.
Warmest regards,
Pete
