Dear Santa Margarita Families,

As we prepare to begin the 2024-2025 school year, I am thrilled to extend a warm and enthusiastic welcome to each of you! I hope our students had a restful and enjoyable summer break. Many of you are likely excited to return to campus, reconnect with friends, and meet your new teachers. In this newsletter, I’ll be sharing important information to help you get ready for the start of the school year. Please remember, our office staff is also here to assist with any questions you may have.

I’m also excited for families to see the improvements made to the campus over the summer. You may have noticed that the school is currently being painted, we’ve resurfaced and restriped the parking lot and playground, and we’ve installed a new security camera system. The campus is looking great, and I can’t wait to see everyone back on August 15th!

Class assignments will be available in the AERIES Parent Portal on Wednesday, August 14th. You can find directions on how to access this information here. If you have any trouble locating the class assignments, don’t worry—we will have staff on-site early on the first day to assist families with this information.

After class assignments are posted in AERIES, the campus will be open from 4:00-5:00 PM, giving your family an opportunity to visit and see where the classrooms are located. Our office will also be open to provide any needed registration support, and the admin team will be on campus to answer any questions you may have.

Santa Margarita will commence our registration process during the month of August. Our office will be open for registration during the following dates and times:

• August 5th-13th, 8:30 am -2:30 pm
• August 14th, 8:30 am - 11:00 am and 4:00 pm -5:00 pm
• August 15th-16th, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

The first day of school for all students is Thursday, Aug. 15th. Gates open at 7:45 a.m. and students are welcome to get breakfast from the MPR. Class will begin at 8:15 a.m.

All students, TK-8th grade will be on minimum day schedule on August 15th and 16th. ALL Students will be dismissed at 12:25.

TK/K Students will remain on minimum day schedule until August 30th.

Please prepare for pick up at these times.

We will be holding a TK/K information meeting on Wednesday, August 14th, at 2:00 PM in the MPR. This meeting is an opportunity for our new TK/K families to learn more about our school and to ask any questions they may have.

The data confirmation window opened on August 1st. Please login to the Aeries Parent Portal and complete your student’s data confirmation at that time. Data confirmation secures your student’s spot. This is a mandatory step in the enrollment process for all students, both new and returning.

You will have to take proof of address to your school only if you have moved to a new address.

The Bell Schedule will remain the same as last year.

1st-5th Grade Dismissal at 2:55.

Middle School Dismissal at 2:57.

Wednesdays and Early Release Days
