Pop Show Showgrams
Pop show is THIS week, and it’s sure to be an exciting event!
If you would like to send a “shout out” to your favorite choir member, the booster club is offering SHOW GRAMS! You may select a snack for them, and you may write a note as well! We will deliver the show grams to students, and there is no limit to the number you can send each night! This pre-sale link is perfect to send to out-of-town friends or family members who would like to encourage your students from afar!
Show grams will also be available to purchase at the events!
Thanks for supporting our musicians!
Sightreading Factory
All students will have homework assignments on sightreading factory. Students have created accounts and logged in this week. There will be one assignment per week, always due on Sunday at midnight. All assignments are already posted in sightreading factory.
Students do need access to a computer or phone with recording abilities to complete these assignments, but may also come in before or after school, or during wildcat den to use a choir chromebook to complete the assignments.
Sightreading Assignment #3 is a MAJOR GRADE for all students.
Each day an assignment is late will be 15 points off, per our handbook and grading guidelines.
High School Night at the Opera
High School Night at the Opera is on Tuesday, February 4th at 7:00pm! We will be taking a bus downtown on Tuesday, February 4th immediately following the school day to go to dinner downtown and see West Side Story! Tickets are currently sold out.
Students will need to bring a change of clothes on this day and immediately change after school. We will head downtown right at 3:00 to be able to have plenty of time for students to eat dinner. Students will need to bring money for dinner, and the amount is dependent upon where they go. There are many options around the theater with a large range of prices.
The performance is approximately 2 and a half hours, with an intermission.
President's Day Flag Sign Up
Below is the sign-up for our Presidents Day Flag Fundraiser. We welcome your help in distributing flags to our subscribers who support all we do in choir! Your student will earn service points that they can use on choir trips, banquets, and any other choir expenses. These points apply to the 2024-2025 school year, so you can bank them for future expenses.
The deadline to sign up is **Tuesday, February 4, 2025. **We will distribute flags on two (2) days due to Pop Show on February 8th. Pick-up will be Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 9 am to 10 am. Sunday, February 9, 2025 will also be available between 1pm to 2pm. We will be at Tomball Memorial High School (bus parking lot). Flags need to be picked up and returned to the high school on Sunday, February 23, 2025, from 3 - 4 PM.
**Please let me know if any parent is interested in joining the Choir PTO as Flag Coordinator for next year. I would love to have those interested shadow me at the next pick-ups and return. Great time to ask questions. This is a 2-person job. **
PLEASE BE PROMPT WITH BOTH PICK-UP AND RETURN OF FLAGS!
These times are when someone will be at the school to give and receive the flags, NOT when you should start collecting them for return. You can pick them up the day before, but you will need to store them in a secure location until the return time.
*****Please be sure you can fulfill both the distribution and pick-up of flags before you commit or partner with a friend to each do one day or both together!****
Thank you so much for participating!
If you have any questions or issues, contact Naomi at 281-224-2921.
