GOAT's Weekly Update-February 13th
Colorado Sports Leadership Academy 2024-2025
Colorado Sports Leadership Academy Families!
As we head into a well-deserved four-day weekend, I encourage you to take this opportunity to connect with your student. With both Valentine’s Day and Presidents’ Day marking this extended break, it’s a perfect time to check in on their academic progress, celebrate their efforts, and set new goals together.
I invite you to sit down with your child and review their progress in Empower, discuss their experiences and aspirations at school, and most importantly, take a moment to unwind. Whether it’s sharing a good book, enjoying quality time together, or simply engaging in conversation, these moments can make a meaningful impact.
Wishing you all a restful and enjoyable long weekend!
Please take a moment to ask your student about what they are learning! Your interest and encouragement can have a powerful impact on their motivation and success.
Thank you for your partnership in your child’s education!
See you on Tuesday, February 18th, 2025!

Attendance Matters!
I want to take a moment to emphasize the critical role that regular, on-time attendance plays in your child’s success at school.
Every day counts! Being present and punctual ensures that your child doesn’t miss valuable learning opportunities and stays engaged in their academic growth. Consistent attendance helps students keep up with lessons, participate in discussions, and develop essential skills that are the foundation of their success now and in the future.
When students arrive late or miss school, it can create gaps in their understanding and make it harder to catch up. On the other hand, attending school regularly and arriving on time builds good habits, fosters responsibility, and sets a positive tone for the day.
We understand that occasional absences due to illness or emergencies are unavoidable, but we encourage you to make attendance a top priority. If you need support in ensuring your child is able to attend school every day and on time, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re here to help.
