Announcing the Principal of Pioneer
Dear staff and families,
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Angela Dillingham as our new Pioneer principal. Angie brings a wealth of experience and a strong educational background to this critical role.
Angie began her career as a paraeducator substitute at Pioneer, where she quickly made a positive impact. She then served as a Social Emotional Skills classroom teacher at Arleta School, showcasing her dedication to supporting students' emotional and social development. Her expertise in this area advanced her to the role of Social Emotional Skills and Learning Center Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA), where she continued to advocate for the well-being of all students.
In her role as Program Administrator, Angie oversaw special education programs, learning centers, and focus classrooms across 24 schools. She led and communicated effectively with building administration, students, staff, and parents, ensuring a cohesive and collaborative approach to special education.
Angie has assisted with the creation and leadership of professional development initiatives, developing effective systems to support students and build inclusion within schools. She will also continue to develop and oversee the Extended School Year program, and out-of-district contracts for special schools.
Her educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and General Education, as well as a Master’s degree in Leadership. These qualifications, combined with her extensive experience, highlight her commitment to fostering a positive and supportive educational environment.
