*PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHED INFORMATION REGARDING PSAT DAY
Royal Families,
PSAT Day will take place on Thursday October 10, 2024. Like the SAT, the PSAT measures the knowledge and skills in reading, writing, and math that students learn in the classroom. This is the same knowledge and skills your student needs to succeed both in college and career. For our junior students, the PSAT also serves as a qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship Program. Below are some key details for PSAT Day:
- Grades 9, 10, and 11 are participating in testing activities. Students will be taking the PSAT on their computer. Please send students to school with their device fully charged and their charger.
- Seniors will not report to school. Instead, they will participate in an exploration activity of their choosing as listed on the attached letter.
- Grades 9, 10, and 11 will have the option of Release Time at the conclusion of the test. This will be at approximately 12 PM. Please under that testing could run over, so students may be dismissed after this time. Grades 9, 10 and 11 can sign up for release time using the attached form.
- All remaining students will have lunch, and Pathways until dismissal for the bus.
Students may also take a full-length practice PSAT using their Bluebook app and their College Board account prior to test day. If you would like to review some additional PSAT preparation information, please review this study plan.
*HSE HIGH SCHOOL IS HOSTING THE MOBILE DENTISTS ON 10/7/2024
HSE Schools welcome the Smiles Program/Mobile Dentists to provide a free exam and cleaning to your student while they are in school. To register your student(s), please complete a form by using one of the following methods:
- Go to: www.myschooldentist.com, find your school in the listing and complete the online form
- Scan the QR code below to take you to the website
- Copies are also available at the school front desk. You are welcome to stop by or your student can pick up a copy from your building nurse
Please complete all information on the form. If information is missing, you may be asked to complete another form. You may submit the form by 10/4/2024 to ensure Mobile Dentists have time to process the forms prior to the appointment date.
