Principal Message
Paraprofessional Appreciation Day
I wanted to take a moment to express our deep appreciation for our school paraprofessionals. They play a crucial role in our school community by providing invaluable support and care to our students every day. Whether it's assisting in the classroom, providing one-on-one support, or ensuring the safety and well-being of our students, our paraprofessionals go above and beyond to make sure every child feels supported and valued.
Their dedication and hard work do not go unnoticed, and we are truly grateful for everything they do to help our students thrive. Please join us in recognizing and thanking our amazing paraprofessionals for their unwavering commitment to our school community.
Important Information
- Class lists: Staff will be working on class list planning next month. If you have a request for a specific learning style for your child, please complete this KES Teacher Request Document or Spanish Form no later than April 30th for the 24-25 school year and email it to shyde@kewaskumschools.org. Due to the amount of work and attention to detail that each teacher puts into planning class lists, any requested changes in student placement will not be guaranteed after April 30th.
- Incoming 4K Families: Enrollment is now open for the 24-25 school year. Class assignment preference will be based on when families enroll and also transportation. There will be an open house for all incoming 4K students to meet the 4K teachers, tour the building, and learn more about 4K. This will take place at KES from 4:30-6:30 on April 18th.
- 5th Grade Celebration: There will be a celebration for all 5th grade students and their families beginning at 2:50 on May 31st. More details will be shared in a Skyward Message at a closer date.
- Safety Reminders: Please stay off of all cell phones when in the pick up and drop off areas, in the parking lot, and near cross walks. This ensures that all students are safe when they enter and exit school.
- Gallery Night: The Annual K-12 District Art Show will be returning this year on April 17, 2024 from 4:30-7:30pm at KMS. We are looking for some parent volunteers to help with the evening. There are various time slots and jobs available. Please sign up using the link for Sign Up Genius if you are able to help: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0B4EA8A62DA1F8C43-47930657-gallery. If you have any questions, please contact any of the K-12 Art Teachers or Rachel Hassler at rhassler@kewaskumschools.org
- Recognize a Teacher: Kewaskum Elementary School is blessed with fantastic staff that focus on teaching the whole child. Their commitment to the students of KES is commendable. Please consider recognizing a staff member at KES through this Google form. These small notes have such a BIG impact!
