Washington - Caldwell Parent Update
Week of September 9, 2024
Message from our Principal
Hello Bulldog Families,
The start of the school year has been very successful. Students have been learning their classroom routines and have reconnected with our teachers in a positive way.
Transportation has been smooth as we have started the new school year, too. If you had the opportunity to attend Meet and Greet you were able to experience the updated facility and “feel” the changes in the building. These changes help to provide a safe and comfortable learning environment. We are so grateful for the positive support you provide to our students, staff and school community. Thank you!
Washington-Caldwell athletics are already starting for the 2024-25 school year. First up is girls basketball. Coach Dena McCormick will be hosting an Open Gym on Tuesday, September 10, Wednesday, September 11 and Thursday, September 12 from 3:40 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in our gym. This is open to all girls in grades 5-8 who are interested in playing basketball for Washington-Caldwell. More information about practices and the season will be provided by Coach McCormick during the Open Gym. You may contact the coach via email at dmccormick@washcald.com.
I am looking forward to a school year filled with new opportunities for student learning and increased engagement with our parents and community. As always, you may reach me via email at kmccormick@washcald.com or by phone at 262-662-3466, ext. 166.
Sincerely,
Kevin, Superintendent/Principal

A Message From The Front Office
Please inform the front office of your student's absence, late arrivals, or early dismissal. You can call the front office (before 9:00) or send an email to Karen Kaldor at kkaldor@washcald.com and Sue Krystowiak at skrystowiak@washcald.com. This information is important to keep our school running smoothly.
Arrival and Dismissal Information
Arrival: Car riders can be dropped off starting at 8:20am at the middle school doors. Please form two lines in front of the school as you wait for drop off. If there are buses in the parking lot, be aware not to pass the bus on the right as students could be getting off the bus when you come.
Dismissal: Starting Monday, September 9 car dismissal will begin at 3:30pm. We will also hand out car numbers on Monday. Help your child remember their number to assist with car pickup.
Also remember that someone must be home to meet the early elementary students at their drop-off locations. The bus drivers will not allow students off the bus without seeing someone.
PTO - Parent Teacher Organization - September 9 at 5:15pm
The PTO is a school based organization made up of parents, teachers, and school staff that works to support all students and improve the school. PTO needs people to attend their meetings to help with planning of events and activities. Volunteering your time or donating items for events are always needed. PTO also sets up fundraising to raise funds to support various school needs.
Please consider coming to the first PTO Meeting on Monday night, September 9 from 5:15pm to 6:15pm. The meeting will be in the school library.
