We’re thrilled to invite you and your children to our First Annual Fun & Color Run sponsored by PTA —an event filled with excitement, community spirit, and a burst of color! Mark your calendars for November 22, and come ready to cheer, run, and have some colorful fun!

Event Details:

Date: November 22, 2024

Time: Approximately 2:00-3:54

Location: SISD & Rails to Trails path

The Fun & Color Run is an opportunity for students, families, and staff to come together in an exciting way. Participants will run or walk through a course while getting doused in vibrant, non-toxic color powder at various stations. It’s all about enjoying time with friends and family and celebrating our school spirit! If students choose not to participate, they will stay in an area at the middle school that will be supervised.

Registration:

Please complete the registration through this link:myfunrun.com/sisdms. The fee for each participant to participate is as follows:

• $20.00 donation to participate

• $30.00 to participate and get a colorful pair of sunglasses

• $40.00 to participate, get a colorful pair of sunglasses, & a White RAIDER tee to wear

What to Bring:

• Wear white! (To make those colors pop!)

• Sunglasses (provided or bring your own)

• Comfortable running shoes (no sandals, boots, or backless shoes)

• Water will be provided (but wouldn’t be a bad idea to bring your own)

• Money for concessions: if students want to buy snow cones, popcorn or cotton candy. SMS clubs will be selling popcorn and cotton candy.

Important Notes:

• This event is family-friendly! Parents and other family members are welcome to join. Please complete the volunteer form and contact Chelsea Nowell to get more details.

• Safety First! All color powders are non-toxic and safe, but we recommend participants wear sunglasses to protect their eyes.

• Clean-Up Tips: We suggest bringing a towel or change of clothes for the ride home.

This year SMS Jr. FFA will be learning floral design, wreath making, succulent gardening, herb gardening and canning/pickling. We are in need of your old/new items. Please drop the items off at the front office to be sent to Mrs. Sheets or Mrs. Arvo. Thank you so much for your support!

Please help us enforce the following with your students by supporting our district and campus policies.

• Dress Code
• NO Food, Gum or Drinks allowed in classrooms!! Students will be asked to leave food and drinks behind before leaving the cafeteria. NO GUM ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING AT SMS! Students are allowed to have a water bottle in the classroom.
• No phones or smart devices/watches allowed for use around SMS.
