Grapevine High School Mustang Band

SportsYou is the primary method of communication we use for the entire program. It is important that everyone joins so we can send out important information. The code to join is listed below.

• Refer to information sent out by GHS for the final exam schedule.

• Students will continue playing in their band classes. Please be sure they have their instruments as well as all necessary supplies.

• Except for the physical (turn in a hard copy to Mr. Slate), ALL band forms will be collected online. The forms are available on the Parent Tab of the website and can be submitted here.

• The FIRST installment of the 2024-25 band fees was due May 1, 2025. Please refer to the Band Fee Payment document for more information. If you have questions, please contact our treasurer - treasurer@grapevinehsband.com.

• The band calendar at grapevinehsband.com is your one-stop shop for all dates and times.

• Lessons are available for all members of the band program. Please go to https://www.grapevinehsband.com/private-lessons.html and set up lessons if you have not already.
• All Families can raise funds for their individual band account NOW with the RaiseRight Fundraiser. See below for details.

7:30 PM - kickoff - processional and pomp & circumstance

7:40 PM - national anthem

9:00 PM - Alma mater

9:15 PM - recessional

9:30 PM - load buses, return to GHS

10:00 PM - uniform/instrument turn in

10:30 PM - done

All students ride busses back to GHS

You must be registered and paid to attend. When you arrive, please check your table assignment at the check-in table at the entrance to the ballroom.

General timeline of events for the evening:

5:30 Registration table opens/Ballroom opens

6-6:15 Dinner is served (promptly)

6:35 Welcome, Awards, Recognition, Speeches, End of Year Video

8:30 Dance begins (Parents can leave except for chaperones)

11:00 Banquet ends

Dress is “dress your best”

It is time to sign up for shifts for the 41st Annual Main Street Fest.

Earn $12 per hour towards your band fees while helping out and managing the gates to the festival. Below is the information for signing up.

One of the best trumpet teachers in the DFW area, Steve Gulledge, is hosting his annual summer trumpet camp at Keller High School June 23rd-26th

Middle School session is from 10:00am - 12:30pm Monday - Thursday

High School session is from 1:30pm - 4:00pm Monday - Thursday

The cost of our camp for the week is $225

Students will focus on addressing fundamental weakness' and appropriate pedagogical material will be provided.

Students are encouraged to sign up now/early and pay later.

If you plan on going to any Frisco RoughRiders games this summer, The GHS Band will receive $5 for any ticket purchased using this link.

The GHS PTSA gathers all of our parent volunteer hours every month. No time is too little to submit- if you volunteered even a half hour handing out popsicles, they want to know!

This will be the same link you will submit your volunteer hours to every month (by the 10th).

The Grapevine High School Band has over 90% of students enrolled in private lessons. It is such an important part of our student's musical development!

CutTime is one of our primary forms of communication and it is important to have accurate information. As we graduate students into the next grade, please verify that your school and grade are correct. CutTime is not an option to make a band payment.
