Warrior Weekly News
A Weekly Newsletter for Warrior Families and Students
October 25 2024
Greetings Warrior Families and Friends,
It was an amazing week at MHS with our students shining in many ways everyday. One of the highlights this week was our Advanced Culinary students preparing a Japanese Fusion meal on Monday for the School Board meeting. They prepared this meal in the new culinary lab! It was really cool to see them trying new techniques, learning about food from other cultures, and sharing what they did. The excitement in their voices, as they spoke to a room of adults about they they learned, was awesome. I am so proud of them. I was just as amazed by our choir students that opened the School Board meeting with a powerful rendition of our National Anthem. The dedication they show to their craft filled the room with beautiful notes.
As we reach the end of October, I want to take a minute to talk about the power of being present every day at school. This is the time of the year that students may begin to miss a few days here and there. Know that student attendance is a priority at MHS because of the impact that absences have on student achievement. Additionally, we hear from our business partners that attendance and punctuality are key attributes that they look for in employees. The habits students develop during high school become part of who they are as adults. Part of what we want our students to learn is the power of showing up every day and being reliable - even when it is not easy. If you see your student developing a bad pattern related to attendance and/or tardies, please reach out to a counselor or administrator so that we can partner to get your student back on track.
Last thought for the day. Get outside this weekend and enjoy some time with your loved ones. Go for a walk. Talk. Enjoy the simple things a bit.
Have an amazing weekend!
Go, Warriors!

Upcoming FBLA fundraisers
Muskego FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) is hosting a couple of fundraisers that we would love to focus your attention on. Our officer team is looking to raise money for the Alzheimer Association and increase event attendance.
One of our upcoming events is the Mother-Son Dance which will be hosted on November 2nd. We ask you to help us by spreading the message to anyone who might be interested in attending. All of the proceeds from this event will go back to our fundraising efforts for FBLA competitions and chapter expenses. Please view the graphic below if you or a loved one is interested in this event.
Our chapter has set a goal to raise $5000 district-wide for the Alzheimer's Association. This money will help to find a cure for Alzheimer's, a deadly condition that affects millions. If you are willing to donate to the cause, please stop in the Warriors Warehouse to make an in-person donation or you can donate virtually through the link below.
Muskego FBLA thanks you for your time and support!
