Hello to the month of October! From this point forward, 2024 will likely fly by quickly! Our Explorers are continuing to dazzle us with their positive attitudes and desire to learn! Our staff is highly dedicated and it has been great seeing staff/student relationships strengthen since the start of school!

October brings fun events such as our Book Fair, which will be open next week! PE Night, which is tonight is another fun, very active event that is always a hit for our first graders! We would like to thank our PE coaches and our First Grade Team for attending! Also, our PTA kicked off campus Fun Run events today! Please be on the look out for information regarding our PTA sponsored Fun Run; this event is a blast so you don't want to miss out on participating!

It has been great seeing so many lunch visitors! As a reminder only parents/guardians, non-school aged children and immediate family listed on the 24-25 Lunch Visitors Parent Permission form are able to visit for lunch. Due to limited space, visitors are limited to 2 visitors per student. Please note the following: Each parent must sign up for their own seat and a separate seat for any non school age siblings. PLEASE REMEMBER when signing up to include your child's name and teacher in the comments. All visitors must show a physical, hard copy government issued ID (driver's license or passport) when you arrive for lunch. We ask that each student be limited to having a lunch visit one day per week to allow all Explorers the opportunity to have a lunch visit. If you are not able to come to lunch after you signed up, please remove your name from the list. Also, please be aware that a few minutes prior to your child's lunch time ending, the monitors will direct your child to join his/her class; this helps with making our cafeteria exit procedures run more smoothly. Love and Logic Parenting Classes will be offered at multiple campuses during the Fall semester of 2024. Participation options are listed in the chart below. Katy ISD families may register to attend any session. Dates for Love and Logic courses will also be posted on the Professional Learning website https://www.katyisd.org/Page/9511 . Families who wish to participate in Love and Logic courses may pay $10 for the cost of the workbook with cash, check, or with the Pay ‘N Go system. Love and Logic Facilitators will arrange for parents to pick up materials. At least 10 participants are required for each session. If a minimum number of participants is not met, registered participants will be directed to an alternate session.

Wolman PTA currently has 604 members and has received Texas PTA's "Early Bird" award! Please consider joining the RJWE PTA (if you're not already a member) through our website, www.wolmanpta.org/membership. Thanks to our PTA members, we are able to put on programs for our students, help our teachers & staff, and continue to support our wonderful school throughout the year.
