Please go to your Parent Portal and complete today.
California state law, the California Healthy Youth Act, requires that comprehensive sexual health and HIV prevention education be provided to students at least once in middle school and once in high school, starting in grade 7. Instruction at Wangenheim will be delivered through the student’s science class during their normal class sessions. Instruction will begin Tuesday, May 21st.
Please note that parents/guardians may excuse their child from the sexual health instruction for this school year by providing an electronic or written note in their preferred language to their child's science teacher. The note should simply state that they are excusing their child from the instruction, include their child's name, and be generated or signed by the parent or guardian. There is no need for any reason to be stated in this note.

2025 East Coast Trip
7th graders, it is already time to start thinking about the East Coast Trip for next year. On this trip we take participants to Washington DC and New York City! We see and do everything we can possibly fit into the 5 days and 4 nights. There is one teacher chaperone for every 10-12 students and nighttime security guards hired for each floor of the hotels where there are students. This is an all inclusive trip, so once you pay for it, you don't need money for anything else except souvenirs. This is a trip of a lifetime- don't miss out!
Signups are first come first served and we can take 50 kids before we have to start a waitlist.
If you have questions or would like to sign up, contact Ms. Chambless jchambless@sandi.net or Ms. Coppola lcoppola@sandi.net
