Appropriate Clothing during the Winter Season⛄
As the colder weather approaches, we want to ensure all students stay warm and comfortable during the school day. We kindly remind you to ensure your child wears weather-appropriate clothing along with their uniform.
Pants will need to be a dress slack in the color of navy blue, khaki, and black.
For girls wearing skirts or dresses, tights or leggings will be required.
Additionally, on cold days, please ensure your child is equipped with the following:
- A warm coat
- Gloves
- A scarf
- A hat
Thank you for your attention to this matter and for helping us keep all our students safe and cozy during the colder months.
Middle Of the Year Testing 🫶
Middle of the Year Testing will begin next week, and we want to share important details with you:
- K-2 MCLass Testing: Monday, January 13
- Grades 3-5 Benchmark Testing: Wednesday, January 15 – Friday, January 17
- January 15: ELA
- January 16: Math
- January 17: Science (5th grade only)
- Make-Up Testing: Monday, January 20
This benchmark testing will be conducted in a traditional session to help students practice the testing environment required for End-of-Year Testing.
We encourage you to remind your student to give their best effort during this time. This is their moment to shine and show how much they have learned! The purpose of Middle of the Year Testing is to help our teachers measure student achievement, monitor progress, and support academic growth.
We are proud of the hard work our students have put in so far and look forward to seeing how much they’ve grown. Thank you for your support in ensuring your child is ready for success!

January 30: Duct Tape Your Principals Fundraiser
Help us "stick it" to our principals! For just $1, parents and students can purchase a piece of duct tape to tape our principals to the wall. Students can purchase as many pieces as they’d like—don’t miss this fun event!February 2: Marksmen Hockey Game
Join us at the Marksmen Hockey Game to see our strings orchestra perform during intermission. It’s a night of music and sports you won’t want to miss!February 20 (Pre-K–2) & March 12 (Grades 3–5): Marksmen Educational Field Trip
Students will visit the Crown Coliseum to learn about what it takes to be part of a minor league hockey team and explore how science applies to this winter sport. Field trip forms will be sent home soon. If you’re interested in chaperoning, please notify your student’s teacher.March 2–6: Dr. Seuss Week
Celebrate the joy of reading during Dr. Seuss Week! We’d love for parents to participate in activities during the school day.
