Adult meals are $4.00, and exact change is preferred. Sorry, our lunch room does not take credit cards.

Nov. 25th - 29th is Thanksgiving Break. Students return to school on Monday, December 2nd.

Rosebud Elementary is so thankful for our Comet Families, and we wish you a fun-filled week full of family and friends!

Students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade will take District Assessments the mornings of December 12th, 13th, & 16th.

Please try to schedule absences or appointments around these testing dates. Students perform better when testing with their teacher in a familiar environment, as opposed to a make-up group with a different teacher and classroom.

Like getting your communications all in one place? PTA now the ability to send announcements through Parent Square. You will need to opt-in to this group to be a part of it (and can always leave at anytime).

1. If your child was present on Picture Day your photos should be in your e-mail registered with the school and/or our QR code.

2. Search your inbox and spam/promotion folders for "TSS Photography".

3. If you do not see your proofs, please e-mail Kris.Bunn@tssphotography.com. Include your child's first and last name and the school to let us know you did not receive them.

4. A paper proof form will go home with your child, however, ALL orders are placed online and mailed directly to your home (free shipping deadlines are sent via text & email.)

This month we are talking about Empathy. One way to think about Empathy is “understanding and

connecting with other people’s feelings.” Empathy is a practice that can help us grow strong relationships. Check out our Empathy Newsletter here!

November is Parent Engagement Month! We invite you to get involved here at Rosebud or participate in engaging activities with your child at home.

Here is a calendar of activities to help spark your involvement and engagement throughout the month of November.

Help your child stay organized with checklists.

Help your child learn to be organized for school by encouraging the use of checklists. For example, your child can use a "head-to-toe" checklist to make sure to be ready to go out the door: "My hat is on my head, my coat is on my body, my backpack is on my back. My gloves are on my hands. My boots are on my feet." Have your student make another list of items needed for school each day. Post it where your child can check it while organizing and packing up the night before.

• Remember to send in an excuse note for any student absences. This can be a personal note, a doctor's note, or a simple message to your child's teacher through Parent Square.
  

• Please remember that student checkout stops at 2:00 each day, as we begin to prepare for dismissal at that time.

• We understand that transportation changes can occur on occasion. Please be sure to email RosebudTransportation@gcpsk12.org by 12noon to communicate any changes to our staff.

• All parents who enter the building must have an ID. Please make sure to always have your ID with you when visiting Rosebud ES for any reason.

Play 2 Learn is a program for children from birth to 5 years old and their parents. This program is focused on building the capacity in parents to be their child’s first and best teacher as well as providing an opportunity for students to be in a group setting to play and learn. The program is FREE. Please contact Valerie Jackson if you are interested in attending the Play 2 Learn on Wednesdays from 8:30am-10:00am, or complete this form.
