Principal Message
Thank you so much to Fran Knechel and the Fitness and Nutrition Team for hosting a wonderful Turkey Trot last Wednesday. Thanks to all of the Beye families who were able to participate. I heard it was tons of fun. See some pictures below. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Break with family and friends.
It is not too late to join this Thursday's Beye Parents' Night Out. See below for details.
I can't believe we have only 3 weeks until Winter Break! Please do your best to help your child(ren) be in their class line daily at 7:57 a.m. There are many benefits for students starting the day on time.

Beye Parents' Night Out at the Comedy Plex Thurs. 12/5!
Beye parents and caregivers, mark your calendars for "An Evening of Mom Jokes" - a night of comedy & community supporting our school! Join us on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Comedy Plex Oak Park, where fellow Beye parents will share the stage with guest comedians from 6:30-8:00 PM.
Register HERE: https://www.comedyplex.com/event/beye-school-event-an-evening-of-mom-jokes-329/register
Your $30 advance ticket ($35 at the door) includes both the comedy showcase and the pre-show reception for Beye parents and caregivers, starting at 5:30 PM with appetizers and light bites. Comedy Plex requires a two-drink minimum, purchased separately. 50% of proceeds from this Beye School benefit will directly support our school programs! This event is open to the public, so please share with your friends and neighbors!
Making this evening possible for Beye families, ByDiscovery has generously offered free childcare for Beye students at their Creative Arts Studio (44 Lake Street) during the event. Children will enjoy pizza and activities while parents enjoy the show! Register with By Discovery here.
In an effort to keep the event open to the whole Beye community, the PTO will be sponsoring tickets/drink costs for those in financial need. Please contact Ms. JC for more information.
Important about PTO Communication Transition
The Beye School PTO is making a transition to communicate with the community mainly via Konstella, saving Bobcat Blog space for Principal Sullivan’s important school announcements. Wondering why we are using Konstella? Find out here: https://www.beyeschoolpto.org/stay-connected.html
News from the PTO - Please Click on the Link
As the first trimester ends, the PTO is really proud of everything we've accomplished so far this year with the help of our volunteers and donors! Please take a minute to check out all of the programs and initiatives we've funded so far this year, and thank you all for being part of the Beye School PTO!
Beye Yearbook
Yearbook building has commenced! This year, we have created an email address for photos to be submitted on a rolling basis:
Please send pictures of classroom parties, field trips, concerts, and more to: beyebobcatyearbook@gmail.com
It will help us tremendously if you include the Grade, Teacher, and Event in the subject line of the email. (Example: 1st-Folger-Halloween Party). That will make it easier to sort. If it's a group photo, multi-grade, etc...don't worry about that! We'll still take it.
We are starting to collect pictures now in the hopes of getting the yearbook in the hands of students prior to the end of the school year, so look forward to seeing pictures flow in!
Please reach out to Helen Bowman directly (helen.kearney@gmail.com) with any questions. Thank you!

In Case You Missed It
Giving Tuesday Student Art Exhibit, Family/Community Workshop & Fundraiser on Tuesday, Dec 3rd, at the Oak Park Public Library, 5:30 to 7:30pm.
By Discovery After School Art Enrichment Program is excited to introduce our annual Giving Tuesday Student Art Exhibit, Family/Community Workshop & Fundraiser on Tuesday, Dec 3rd, at the Oak Park Public Library, 5:30 to 7:30pm. The Giving Tuesday event is in support of the Animal Care League and St Jude Children's Research Hospital : ) Last year, By Discovery students raised over $1,600 for the ACL!!! This year, because a number of students are also eager to help children in their fight against cancer, we have added St. Jude's.
It is our hope that your experience at the event - to appreciate the students' artwork and to create together as a family/community with the goal of helping those in need - will encourage donations to these two outstanding organizations above. Please note that donations are not required to attend the exhibition or to participate in the creative workshop, both are FREE for all to enjoy! Please see the attached flyer for additional information and to RSVP. Thank you and we hope to see you there!
