EMS Absence Reporting
Please use this website to report your child's absence for Esperanza Middle School.

Important Information

Monday, January 27th will be an A day. There will be no school for students on Friday, Jnaury 31st. It is a professional day for staff.


2nd marking period report cards will be available online in HAC on Tuesday, January 28th.


As a reminder during our winter season, students are not permitted to wear blankets in the building. Additionally, students cannot wear ski masks in the building. Please contact your child's Assistant Principal with any questions.

After School Activities

All after-school activities end at 3:30 pm. Two or more late pickups will result in removal from after-school activities.

Monday - Math Counts, SCA, Volleyball Intramural, and Symphonic Band - Woodwinds ONLY

Tuesday - Basketball Intramural, Fitness Club Intramural, Chess Club Intramural, Solo and Ensemble Help, and BATB Jr. Music: All Villagers: Mob Song

Wednesday - Honors Chorus, Symphonic Band - Brass ONLY, and Volleyball Intramural

Thursday - BATB Jr. Music: Review & Finale All Cast Called, Civil Air Patrol, Basketball Intramural, Fitness Club Intramural, Chess Club Intramural, and Jazz Band

Event Information

6th Grade Dance

This dance will take place right after school for 6th-grade students ONLY; students must be picked up at 4:00 p.m. Parents will not need to come inside to pick up students. Students will be released to the parking lot at 4:00 p.m. to go home. The permission slip to attend the dance will be in the February 3rd SMORE and available in the cafeteria starting Monday, February 3rd. The cost to attend the dance is $5.00. Students must have their $5.00 and signed permission slip during homeroom on Friday, February 7th, to get their dance wristband. No dance wristbands will be sold after homeroom, and no students can call home to get permission to attend the dance.

No dance wristbands will be sold after homeroom, and no students can call home to get permission to attend the dance.

The next 8th grade dance will be the 8th grade formal. More information to come on this event, other end of year celebrations, and the academic and behavior requirements to attend these events before the start of the 4th marking period.

Families can pay for lost or damaged resources in My School Bucks. Resources include library books, laptops, chargers, textbooks, consumables, etc. My School Bucks is also used to put lunch money on your child's account.
