eLearning Days
eLearning Days Announcement
On December 23, 2024, and January 6, 2025, our district will implement designated eLearning days, requiring students to complete assignments before returning to school on January 8. These assignments will primarily be paper-based with minimal computer involvement, ensuring students can engage in learning regardless of technological constraints. We understand that some families may have pre-existing travel plans and are committed to being as accommodating as possible while still adhering to state guidelines. However, it is crucial to note that students who do not complete the assigned work will be marked as unexcused absent. Parents and guardians are asked to support their students by ensuring completion.
Coosa Chorus Winter Concert - Tuesday, December 17
Please join us for our annual Coosa Chorus Winter Concert performance in the cafeteria! The show begins at 6pm. Chorus students should arrive at 5:30 pm.
Kindergarten Sing -along
On Wednesday, December 18 @ 9:00 AM in the cafeteria, our kindergarten students would love for their families to join them for a holiday sing along. We ask our families to arrive early to ensure everyone is checked in prior to the event. As a reminder, every adult coming to the event needs a form of identification ---driver’s license, other government issued ID, etc.
BCSD Student of the Month
At this week's school board meeting, Thayne, a 3rd grade student at Coosa Elementary School was recognized as the October Northern BCSD Student of the Month! We are so proud of you, buddy!
Habits for a Happy Home
Be Proactive - Taking Responsibility
This week, we focus on the Habit, Be Proactive, which encourages students to take responsibility for their actions and choices. At home, we ask that you support your child in making decisions independently, whether it’s deciding when to start their homework or how to handle a disagreement with a sibling. Praise them when they take initiative without waiting for others to tell them what to do. Show them how being proactive creates positive outcomes and helps them control their own success.
Happening in the Hallways
Check out some of the incredible art work produced by our students under the guidance of our Art Teacher, Mrs. Halopoff.
Coosa Running Club Wants Your Shoes
Are you looking to clean out those unwanted shoes this holiday season? Looking for a place to donate them? Look no further, the Coosa Running Club will take them all! For a 5th year, the Coosa Running Club is teaming up with Grounded Running to collect shoes for those in need. Students can bring in any type of shoes in any condition during the month of January. With your help, and the support of our community, we have raised over 5,000 pairs of shoes! There will be boxes in the front lobby in January for shoes to be placed.
