Out of Zone Enrolments
Enrolment at Inglewood School is governed by an enrolment scheme, details of which are available on the school website or from the school office.
The board is now inviting applications from parents who wish to enrol their children at Inglewood Primary School starting within Term 4 2023. All applications must be received by 3pm Monday 4 September for Term 4 2023. If a ballot for out of zone places is required, it will be held on Wednesday 6 September 2023. Parents will be informed of the outcome of the ballot within three school days of the ballot being held.
The board has determined that ten places from Year 1-2, two places year 3 - 4. are likely to be available for out-of-zone students within Term 4 2023. Be aware these numbers may change. The exact number of places will depend on the number of applications received from students who live within the school’s home zone. Parents of students who live within the home zone and intend to enroll their child at any time during the year should notify the school to assist the school to plan appropriately.
The application form for enrolment is available from the school website, or from the school office. Please note, that if the number of out-of-zone applications exceeds the number of places available, students will be selected by ballot.
2024 School Year - The deadline for Out of Zone Enrolments for 2024 is Monday 30 October 2023 at 3pm. The board has determined that there will be up to 20 places available across all year groups.

Headlice
Headlice are presently a problem in the school and it is possible that your child has caught them. Working together helps us protect all our children.
We ask you to check your child’s head and those of all members of your family today and once a week after that. The best way to do this is by combing each person’s wet hair with a fine toothed comb.
Headlice also live on adults’ heads, and because they don’t always cause itching, it is important to check everyone at home.
It is important to look for the EGGS (nits) which will be:
· A similar colour to the hair;
· Situated mainly around the ears, nape of the neck or crown of the head;
· Close to the scalp (within the first centimetre of hair);
· Stuck on tight (anything that can be dislodged by touching is not a nit).
Tell everyone with whom your child has been in contact.
Treat with either headlice shampoo, available from your chemist or a 50”50 solution of oil and vinegar. Tea Tree Oil in shampoo also helps.
You need to remove all eggs, if you leave one, the infestation starts all over again. PLEASE CHECK YOUR CHILDS HAIR ON A DAILY BASIS.
If there is anything more you would like to know, please contact the school office or the Public Health Nurse on 0274064822.
Thank you for your co-operation.
