Happy Sunday PK-8 Coyote Families,

This upcoming week is our last week before Thanksgiving holiday. On behalf of all of us at Tornillo PK-8, we want to wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving. All PK-12 students will return to school, Monday, December 2.

Thanksgiving Family Luncheon

This Thursday, our district will be hosting the Thanksgiving Luncheon with our families. This will be the first year of holding this event after the COVID restrictions. We want to thank you in advance for your patience and want to remind you of a few items in order to make this event a memorable one for all of our students.

1. Only persons with prepurchased tickets will be allowed to enter into the luncheon.

2. All ticket holders will need to sign-in at the Front Office, Building A (please bring government issued ID)

3. Arrive 10-15 minutes early before your child's scheduled lunch time.

4. All tickets to this event have already been sold out. We encourage you to participate in the many family events held throughout each of our campuses every month.

PK-8 Fundraiser - Will you help us raise some "dough" for our school?

Our PK-8 coyotes will be selling Krispy Kreme cards to help fundraise for student and teacher incentives. Your contribution helps us purchase items such as books for our Book vending machine, science lab consumable materials, Attendance Awards, Reading Awards, and incentives for our PBIS store.

Stop by the front office to purchase your Krispy Kreme card. More details found below.

PK-8 Attendance

The past few weeks we have seen our attendance decrease, we ask that you continue to minimize unnecessary absences. As a reminder, absences not only impact your child's learning but also the learning of the class.

We take a lot of pride in our attendance at our school. Please help us maintain it at 98%!

1. When your child is absent, please send the doctor's note or parent note within 48 hours.

2. Tardy Bell rings at 7:50am. A student will receive a tardy slip every time they arrive late.

3. When your child is absent, please expect a phone call from our front office or your child's teacher to ensure that your child is ok.
