Hello Creekside Families!
Great job 3rd grade students and parents. 3rd graders were present last week and ready to complete ACAP testing every day. We had very few absences and cannot wait to see their wonderful results.
4th and 5th grades begin testing tomorrow for ELA (ELA covers reading, grammar, writing, spelling, and listening). We will end the week with math testing. We will be testing from approximately 8:00-10:30 each day. I will post the testing schedule. Remember the times listed are the actual minutes students are given to take each session, not including the time it takes to hand out materials, log-0n, read instructions, etc.
Please remind your child that all we ask is that they take their time and do their very best.
The last day to order yearbooks is Friday, April 11th. Don't miss out. We don't order many extras and they have sold out very quickly the past few years. Go to www.yearbookordercenter.com
The school code is 19069.
Creekside Arts night is April 24th from 5:00-7:00.
Remember that we have a PTO meeting tomorrow at 4:00 in the cafeteria.
It's going to be an amazingly great week!

Let’s Chat
Before spring break, I spoke to students about using kind words. We talked about the adage of “if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.” Please help us reiterate this at home. Mrs. Thiery and I are always available to listen and help students and parents. Many of the issues we see begin with kids starting jokes, making comments, or saying something rude to someone else. Intentional or not, words can hurt. We talked about respect for ourselves, our classmates, and the adults in the building, and how all of this goes back to treating others the way we want to be treated.
Let's continue making 2025 a year of growth, collaboration, and achievement! We are incredibly grateful for the dedication and hard work of everyone in our school community and look forward to celebrating the successes of our students in the months ahead. Together, we’ll inspire, challenge, and support each other to create a lasting impact on education and beyond.
Don't hesitate to contact me or the school with any questions or concerns; we are more than willing to help!
Here's to a great week of learning, growing, academic progress, and positive change at CES!
Thank you for your continued support in making Creekside Elementary the BEST place to learn and grow!
Love ya'll!
Go Chiefs!

Welcome Back! We had a FANTASTIC first day! Teachers worked hard to get their rooms ready to create a community of learners in each class. Thank you for entrusting us with your children. They will be well-loved, cared for, and challenged to learn this year.
We had every student in the building by 7:42 on the first day of school. That is AWESOME! That tells us that we WILL be able to meet our goal of having car line end by 7:30.
Carline... PLEASE be patient. For those who are complaining about carline after the first day of school, please give me a moment to explain a few things.
- SROs (School Resource Officers) are no longer allowed to direct traffic. This decision was made above the school level and we must abide by it. This is no reflection on the new SRO.
- Limestone County Sheriff's Depart. does not have the manpower to direct traffic.
- This is also the reason for only right turns as cars exit.
- Yes, there are 2 lanes that enter from the new access road.
- One of those lanes was designated for buses.
- We only have one exit and one lane for students to safely exit vehicles, so having one lane entering into campus makes it easier to manage.
- We may have to open the second lane to get traffic off Sanderson Rd., but parents must follow car line procedures if we do this.
- On Friday afternoon, some parents were merging/jumping from one lane to the other and moving the cones that coaches placed so they would know which cars were next.
- This created a lot of confusion. Numbers are texted to teachers inside the gym so students are ready to load. When parents jumped lines, their kids numbers had not been called and it created a chaotic situation.
- PLEASE give us a few days to get car line running smoothly.
- Lots of parents bring their kids to school during the first few days and then they will begin riding the bus.
- Teachers and coaches work carline and I can assure you, they want carline to be finished as quickly as you do. But we also have to be SAFE.
If there is any parent with experience directing traffic that would like to become an official volunteer to direct traffic at Creekside, please contact Mrs. Rhinehart and let her know.
Again, we are so happy to have your children at Creekside Elementary this year.
