The Yearbook Committee is including a section that features our Labradors and what they are passionate about outside of school. For examples: sports, music, arts, community service, etc. If you are interested in having your child's special interest included in the yearbook, please send pictures to lawrencelabsyearbook@gmail.com.. Make sure to include a small narrative from your child about what they are passionate about and why.

Friendly reminder to our Labrador families…early bird pricing for the yearbook ends this Friday, March 4th. $20 soft cover with an option to upgrade to a hard cover for an additional $5. Prices will go up after March 4th. Last day to order yearbooks will be Friday, April 1st.

The Science Odyssey showcase is now open to the public. To view projects, go to ca-so.zfairs.com. No log in is needed. Under the "fair" tab, go to "showcase". To protect student privacy, student names are hidden. You will find your project by searching for your project ID number. You may search for projects by project category also. Logo entries were uploaded to zFairs. Students, look for an email from zFairs that has your project ID number. Student initials are used on the projects. You may check awards by clicking on the ribbon. At this time, if a project, including logo entries, was uploaded as a PDF, you must click through the link to see the project. This is different from what the site looked like last year. zFairs is working to make the projects show. Thank you for participating in Science Odyssey 2022!

4th Annual Tri-Valley Innovation Fair: Quest Science Center is holding its Innovation Fair on Saturday, March 19th from 10am-5pm at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. Admission is FREE and there will be more than 50 exhibitors with engaging activities for kids of all ages. Informational flyer

Tree Planting Day: Everyone is invited to plant trees on Saturday morning, March 12. The Rotary Club of Livermore Valley is partnering with the City of Livermore and the California Urban Forests Council to plant 65 trees as part of the AMPLIFYING THE URBAN FOREST initiative. Livermore Water Conservation Art Contest: The City of Livermore is now accepting entries for this annual competition open to all K-12th grade LVJUSD students. The grand prize winner will receive an iPad and contest finalists will have their artwork displayed in downtown Livermore this spring. Entries must be received by March 14th. Upcoming Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) Trainings:

• Saturday, March 19th, 8:15 a.m. to 1:15 pm
  
• Wednesday, March 30th, 2:15 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.

YMHFA is a Certification Course that teaches adults to recognize and respond to a mental health challenge in youth. Completion of a 2-hour online class prior to the Zoom class and a half-hour of post-work is required.

The Lawrence Elementary Running Club is back! All Labradors are invited to join Running Club between 8-8:20 AM every Friday morning at the Solar Panel Entrance. For your student to participate, please fill out this form here.

We are very excited to bring the Missoula Children's Theatre back to Lawrence Elementary! If your Kinder-5th Grader Labrador is interested in participating in the production, please save the dates of March 14th-March 19th for auditions, practices, and performances. Participating students will audition after school on Monday, March 14th, rehearsals after school all week, with a performance for families on Saturday, March 19th, in the MPR. Please sign up here for auditions by Thursday, March 10th.

*Please note that due to conferences and minimum day scheduling, auditions and rehearsals will start at 1:45 PM.
