Assembly: Project Trio
On Friday, November 15th our John Marshall students were able to attend an assembly focused on music appreciation. Project Trio pushes the boundaries of traditional chamber music with their unique fusion of classical, jazz, hip-hop, and world music influences.
American Education Week - November 18th - November 22nd
Parents/Guardians can come into the building for grades K-5 on these specific days and times:
Tuesday-November 19th- 9:15-11:15 am
Wednesday, November 20th- 2:00-3:15 pm
Parents/Guardians will be able to come into the classroom for 15 minutes. We are allowing two parents/guardians in at one time, as we don’t want our learners to be distracted. Parents/Guardians will need a valid picture ID and no children are allowed to accompany any adult. Please email your child’s teacher if you would like more information.

Our next conference day is Thursday, November 21st it will be an Early Dismissal Day - 1:30pm

Family Night - Positive Action
John Marshall School will be hosting a Family Night focused on our Positive Action Program and Social & Emotional Learning. This will be a Make & Take event focusing on Gratitude, Positivity, & Kindness. Each student must be accompanied by a parent/guardian to attend. For this family night, only John Marshall Students and their adults may attend. Please keep younger, non-school age children at home. Please use the link to register for this Title 1 event by 11/18/24. Space is limited
The Family Night will be held November 19th @ 6:15pm. Doors open at 6pm.

Online Resources available at Home
Our students have now settled into their routines at school and are familiar with the online programs they will be using this school year. Students can access these programs at home as well by logging into their Edison Classlink Account: https://launchpad.classlink.com/edison.
The Username is their Student ID number and the Password is their district issued password they use daily.
The new math program, enVisions by Savvas, has games and resources students can use at home and is available for students in all grades.
Students in Grades 2-5 can use their Reflex Math accounts to practice learning their basic math facts and start to build fraction understanding with Frax when ready.
Students in Grades 1-5 can work on their individualized assignments on their MyPath in i-Ready.
Students in Kindergarten and 1st Grade are also encouraged to visit their Reading Eggs accounts.

Thanksgiving Food Drive
Please join us in our Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive Program and support feeding families at Thanksgiving by donating the following items:
Kindergarten: Boxed stuffing mix, boxed rice, or boxed mashed potatoes
1st grade: Canned vegetables, canned fruit, or canned tomato sauce
2nd grade: Canned gravy, cranberry sauce, or boxed macaroni and cheese
3rd grade: Dessert box or treat: (Jell-o, pudding, cookie mix, cake mix, etc.)
4th grade: Boxed pasta or boxed cornbread mix
5th grade: Plastic bottles of juice, apple cider, or water
Please be sure that all donated items are:
● In their original packaging
● Are unopened
● Do not need to be refrigerated and are non-perishable
● Are not in glass containers
Students may bring donations to the front of the school and Feed the Turkey!
