We are super excited to announce that God has allowed us to purchase new technology for GCA.

All teachers now have laptop computers and either a projector or a smart TV. We will be working over the next couple of weeks to install the TVs in the main building and to mount and wire the projectors in the portable classrooms. The projectors and smart TVs will be used to display digital teaching aids, to show students videos to reinforce their learning, to get students up and moving for brain breaks, and to further motivate and engage students in their learning.

It is always exciting to see our school growing and advacing in different ways! It is our prayer that this technology will be a blessing to your children.

I am excited to announce that we were able to purchase two AEDs in January.

Over the next couple of weeks they will arrive and one will be installed upstairs and one downstairs. They come with a carrying case and can be taken with us to sporting events (when we have sports again.)

All staff members are trained in CPR (including the use of AEDs). The AEDs will be easily accessible and ready to be used in the event of a cardiac emergency.

This is a big step forward in keeping our students, staff, visitors, and church members safe.

***An automated external defibrillator (AED) is a medical device designed to analyze the heart rhythm and deliver an electric shock to victims of ventricular fibrillation to restore the heart rhythm to normal. Ventricular fibrillation is the uncoordinated heart rhythm most often responsible for sudden cardiac arrest.

We have a new fundraiser beginning Monday, 2/6/23. This fundraiser is unique because sponsors can chose to support GCA by purchasing items. donating SchoolStore giftcards, or by shopping their favorite online stores using SchoolStore.com.

Did you know we are a Box Tops School? The program has changed and you no longer need to clip box tops. You can now earn cash for our school by simply scanning paper and digital receipts! Please download the Box Tops for Education app today and start earning.

Follow the link below for information on how to apply for a $10,000 scholarship! This scholarship is available for High School Seniors who complete a service project to help the community. If your child is in high school and plans to attend college, please take a look at this and begin making plans to apply. They give five scholarships each year and only received 50 applications last year. Chances are good that with just a little work your child can earn this scholarship.
