Cleveland STEM High School
January 10, 2025
Hello Cleveland Families!
We are excited to announce an upcoming event, Prepare For Your Future, which will take place on the evening January 23, 2025, from 5:30 - 7:00. As students begin registering for classes for the next academic year, this event is designed to help students and families understand the various options available to earn college credit while attending classes at Cleveland.
Our goal is to encourage students to take advantage of our dual credit courses, which allow them to earn college credit right here at Cleveland. By staying at Cleveland, students can benefit from a supportive and familiar environment while still gaining valuable college credit requirements.
I encourage all students and families to attend this event, meet our teachers, and learn more about the learning experiences students can expect in their dual credit courses. Additionally, we will be offering two special workshops:
- FAFSA/WAFSA Workshop for Seniors: From 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, seniors can receive assistance in completing their FAFSA/WAFSA applications.
- IEP Workshop for Families: Families of students with IEPs can attend a workshop facilitated by Open Doors to learn about the components of an IEP and how to advocate for their student’s needs.
We look forward to seeing you on January 23 and helping you navigate the many opportunities available at Cleveland High School.

Important Info to Know
Congratulations to Cleveland's Volleyball team on earning WIAA Academic State Champ Honors!
Cleveland (2A) and Lincoln (4A) high school’s volleyball teams were awarded the prestigious distinction of Academic State Champions in girls volleyball for the 2024 season by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA). These honors, presented as part of the Gesa Credit Union Scholastic Awards Program, recognize the teams for maintaining exceptional academic standards while excelling in their athletic endeavors.
The teams had the highest-grade point average of any team in Washington state in their division. To qualify for Academic State Champion, the teams’ GPAs were calculated by including all students who participated in the sport or activity at the varsity level. The volleyball teams at both schools exceeded the GPA requirements for this distinction, with an average GPA above 3.50.
These merits reflect the commitment of both teams to excellence in the classroom and on the court, highlighting the athletes’ dedication to balancing rigorous academic responsibilities with their athletic achievements.
