Middle School Parent Info Meeting (for parents of students transitioning to 6th grade next school year)
Each middle school in District 47 will host parents/guardians on Monday, April 22 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Parents should attend the presentation at the middle school their child is expected to attend. Information about middle school will be shared with parents/guardians at this event.
3rd Grade Concert-April 30
On Tuesday, April 30 at 6:30 p.m. in our gymnasium, third grade students will have the opportunity to showcase their musical skills and what they have been learning in music class so far this school year. The performance will include singing and instruments. Families are all invited. Third grade students should wear dress clothing to this performance.
Bus Driver Appreciation - Week of April 22-26
We would like to honor our bus drivers the week of April 22. Some students will be making cards for their drivers at school but certainly families are welcome to thank our bus drivers in any way they may want to. This is a nice way to thank our drivers for all they do to keep our students safe to and from school.
Yearbooks are on sale
Woods Creek is partnering with Treering for yearbook compilation and online sales again this year. You can customize two free pages that will be printed only in your child’s book. All yearbook orders must be placed online at www.treering.com/validate. Our school passcode is: 1016039057551331. Each yearbook costs $18.60. Yearbook orders placed by April 29 will be delivered to the school for distribution before summer break. Please contact Mrs. Bailes at abailes@d47.org with any yearbook questions.
Olympic Day Lunch Information
This year, Woods Creek will provide a sack lunch for every student on Olympic Day, May 17, 2024. The lunch will contain a sub sandwich (salami, turkey, ham and cheese), baby carrots, fruit, Rice Krispies Treat, 100% fruit juice, and milk. Menu substitutions cannot be accommodated.
If you DO NOT wish for your child(ren) to enjoy the lunch provided, please opt out on this Google form by April 30 and send lunch to school with your child(ren) on May 17.
If your child(ren) will enjoy the lunch provided, no action is necessary-do not complete the form. A sack lunch will be provided for your child(ren).
Multiage Classes Informational Meeting
Online Enrollment for 2024-25 School Year
Online enrollment for returning families for the 2024-25 school year will be available via ParentVue from Friday, April 26 to Monday, May 6, 2024. Confirming enrollment is required for all current District 47 students in grades K-7th. A ParentVue login and password is required to complete online enrollment. Should you need assistance in obtaining your ParentVue login or password, please contact the school office. Additional assistance is also available via the parent Help Desk at hd@d47.org.
Registration for 2024 2025 Kindergarteners

Save the date: Kindergarten Kickoff for 2024-2025 Registered Kindergarteners
All registered kindergarten students who will be attending Woods Creek School in the fall are invited to our “Kindergarten Kickoff” on Friday, May 10, 2024. This special event is for both incoming kindergarten students and their parents. The students will have the opportunity to visit a kindergarten classroom with our teachers while the parents listen to a brief presentation about the kindergarten school day and school routines from Dr. Marks in the school cafeteria. Classrooms will not be open for parent visitation. Two sessions are available, one is at 9:30 a.m. and one is at 2:00 p.m. Please enter through the gym foyer doors on the west end of the building.
Bricks of Hope LEGO Drive
Crystal Lake Elementary District 47 is partnering with Bricks of Hope for a LEGO® Drive! Bricks of Hope is a local charity building hope in sick kids during their hospital stays with the gift of LEGO®. Now through May 19, support the drive by donating NEW LEGO® sets, drop off at school! District 47 Student Art Show
We are delighted to announce the 2023-24 District 47 student art show at The Dole featuring select artwork from District 47 students in kindergarten through 8th grade. The exhibit is free and open to the public and will be available for viewing weekdays (9am to 5pm) from Thursday, May 2, 2024 through Tuesday, May 14, 2024. Two open house events will be held the first week of May for District 47 families. Families are encouraged to attend the open house for their child’s school if possible per the schedule below. Please note: Your child’s teacher will only be in attendance during their scheduled open house.

Feet Meet Sign Up
- The Feet Meet is coming up on the morning of Sunday, April 28. Information was sent home with your student on Monday, April 1. Sign up here. Participants may sign up to walk or run before the race or on the day of the race (7:00-7:30 a.m.) but are no longer guaranteed a t-shirt.
- Feet Meet packet pick-up will be April 25 from 4:00-5:30 p.m. in the Woods Creek gym. If you are not able to pick up your materials, please arrange for a friend or family member to do so on April 25.
