Dear Dolphin families,

Thank you to our GRAD BASH chaperones and Mrs. Ashley Smith for organizing!!! The Seniors had a great time making memories with classmates to cherish after gradaution!

We are looking forward to including some fun before and after Spring break with two Spirit Weeks! This week is Spring Spirit Week and the week of April 21st will be Military Appreciation Week. Please see the attachments and join us in FUN with focus on finishing the 24-25SY STRONG!

DISMISSAL PROCEDURE REMINDER

Please email Mrs. Gabrielle Heath (Gabrielle.Heath@beaufort.k12.sc.us), Ms. April Lang (April.Lang@beaufort.k12.sc.us) and Ms. Latricia Brown (latricia.brown@beaufort.k12.sc.us) early release emails (doctor’s appointments, etc.) by 10am to be processed effectively. Phone requests for early dismissal will be determined by emergency circumstances. All requests must be verified to ensure the safety of your child(ren). Thank you for your understanding.

Tutoring - DURING THE SCHOOL DAY

Assigned RISE:

Assigned tutoring M-W-F enables students to get help immediately if they are struggling with academics or need support to maintain passing grades. Academic support will be offered by your child's actual assigned teacher during RISE this semester. They will receive a ePass and are expected to report directly to the tutoring location.

AM tutoring is from 7:45-8:15 daily in the Media Center.

Reminders:

IF you have an EdGenuity Credit Recovery course assigned from semester one it is essential that you are working daily to complete it on time. Contact your counselor or AP with questions.

Parents may participate in this survey up until April 11, 2025, in Ecollect via the PowerSchool Parent Portal.

Parents may submit one survey per student, according to SCDE guidelines. Each survey will take about 10-15 minutes to complete. Please read each statement and choose the best response from the choices given. As you read each statement, please consider the entire year rather than recent or isolated events.

OPPORTUNITIES!!

South Carolina’s 22rd Annual Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) Logo Contest. Each year, students from schools across the state submit logo/artwork with the theme “Preventing Gun Violence in Our Schools – Know the Signs.” It provides an excellent opportunity to have a conversation with young people about gun violence and encourages important conversations about gun safety and respectful ways to resolve disputes. It recognizes the role young people, through their own decisions, can play in reducing gun violence. Applications can also be found in each grade level's Google Classroom.

Students are invited to enter the 10th Annual Leader in Me Global Student Speech Contest with an entry that informs, persuades, & entertains. $6000.00 in leadership grant money is available to win! Contest closes April 25, 2025. https://www.leaderinme.org/student-speech-contest-2025/
