Student Resources
STAAR Progress
The STAAR progress measure provides information about the amount of growth a student has made from year to year. To find out which grades and subjects have a progress measure, review the STAAR Progress Measure Parent’s Guide. You can share the information with your child by accessing the Family Portal on TexasAssessment.gov. These conversations can encourage your child to continue learning over the summer to continue growing.
Parent Resources
Empowering Parents with Free Mental Health Resources
Supporting a child’s mental and emotional well-being is just as important as their academic success. ParentGuidance.org is a free, online resource designed to help parents navigate the challenges of parenting by providing expert-led courses, professional advice, and tools to support children’s mental health.
This website offers self-paced courses, articles, and videos on topics such as child behavior, anxiety, depression, and family communication. Parents can access guidance from licensed therapists and gain practical strategies to support their children at home.
One of the most valuable features of ParentGuidance.org is its built-in translation tool, allowing families to access content in the language they feel most comfortable with. This ensures that all parents, regardless of language, benefit from the information.
Title I, Part C staff can share this resource with families to help them feel more confident and supported in addressing their children’s emotional and mental health needs. Encourage parents to visit ParentGuidance.org today to explore the available resources!

Educational Resources
Maintaining academic progress can be challenging during the summer, especially for eligible migratory students who may move during this time. To help ensure students continue learning wherever they are, we encourage families to access the following free resources:
Educational Resources for Parents of K-12 Migratory Children
This online resource provides printable mini-lessons, tip sheets, interactive activities, and short videos that support students in grades K-12 in reading and writing, as well as math for grades K-5. The portal also includes information and links to resources for out-of-school youth, ensuring that all students have access to learning opportunities.
All resources are free of charge, and families can quickly create a free account for immediate access. Visit txmigrant.net/k12 today to explore the available materials!
Keep the TMEP portal at your fingertips. Follow these simple directions to add a TMEP icon link to the home screen on your phone. Share these directions with migratory families so they will always have easy access to the resources!
ISOSY
Your child may be considering options for their future and not know where to find information. ISOSY is a website that offers information on a variety of careers so your child can make informed decisions. The videos are a quick, easy way to get a look at different careers before making a decision.
Have your child visit the ISOSY website and visit the student portal. When they click on the “Cool Careers Videos,” they will have choices of videos on careers such as land surveyor, commercial driver, and medical doctor.

Final Thoughts
