MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Good evening parents and families,
My weekend was full of chauffeuring to football and volleyball, cleaning, and preparing for the week ahead. While driving from one event to the next, I was able to talk to my kids about their favorite parts of the week. I was not surprised by their answers, “catching up” on the summer's events and “seeing friends.” They also talked about their teachers and which classes they were excited about.
When my kids asked about the best part of my week, it allowed me to pause and reflect. I initially thought, "The best part is always the people." The teachers and staff coming in during pre-planning gave me energy and excitement. This, in combination with the students being back in the school, is my true "happy place." The students fill the halls with laughter and conversation! I loved being in the café every day. Our students finished eating in a matter of minutes, which left a lot of time for me to chat and learn about what was happening in their lives. As I thought about all my favorite parts of the week, every moment revolved around people!
I wanted to share a few photos of things happening at The Pointe!
Classrooms are clean, organized, and focused on student learning! Way to go, teachers!
Assistant Principal Derek Wright is also leaning in to build relationships this week during lunch!
Thank you to students, teachers, staff, parents, and the PTSA for making our first week back the best! We still have a few kinks to work out as we are imperfect. However, doing it with the best team makes it enjoyable. I can’t wait to see all the Titans tomorrow.
Your Proud Principal,
AJ Smith
Principal of Elkins Pointe Middle School

FROM THE COMMUNITY
Hi Titans,
I'm one of the coaches here at the Cupp Golf Academy at the Golf Club of Georgia. I wanted to reach out to whoever would be interested in getting their game into gear for the junior and high school tournament season this fall and coming spring. We develop junior golfers who are looking to play competitively with our programs. We also have the Op36 program that focuses more on the fundamental side of the game for those learning to play.
If you or someone you know wants to get involved, please see the flyer below to see what we offer. If you can't be a part of what we have going on in the fall, please tell a friend or family member who has juniors who already play or are interested in starting to play golf.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
Thank you,
Zane Smith

ST. AIDAN'S CHORISTERS INVITATION
Dear Elkins Pointe Parents and Families,
Welcome back to an exciting 2024-2025 school year! I hope this letter finds you well. My name is Charles Higgs, and I am excited to introduce a wonderful opportunity for the music students at Elkins Pointe Middle School. The St Aidans Children's Choristers Program is a local community choir sponsored through St Aidans Episcopal Church in Alpharetta. It is designed for children from 2nd through 8th grade. It offers musical excellence, self-discipline, and social development with musical performance opportunities and a chance to develop musical talents in a supportive environment in addition to their school environment. This program will greatly benefit your students, enhancing their musical skills, teamwork, and confidence.
We are holding a Chorister open house, and we hope your music department will help us by spreading the word to your students about this fantastic extracurricular activity – it is being held on Saturday, August 17, from 9:30-11:30 AM. The schedule includes a morning of singing, games, information, and snacks, and time to unpack the extraordinary world of the chorister! The great news about his program is that it’s free! The commitment to the program is the only cost.
You can reach me at 404-563-9270 or music@staidans.org. Thank you for your time and consideration of our exciting musical program!
Best regards,
Charles Higgs
