RN (Registered Nurse) and LVN ((This is for the individuals who report CNEs to their State Board of Nursing) This category has an extra form that is required to be filled out by RN's and LVN's. This form contains information needed to allow you to be added to the online evaluation site so that you can complete your online evaluation to obtain your Certificate of Successful Completion that verifies your CNE. IF THIS FORM IS NOT FILLED OUT you will not be added to the online database, THUS YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE YOUR CNE CREDIT. You will receive a link to this form in your confirmation email.
- Other Professionals (Counselors, teachers, principals, superintendents, etc.) No CNEs will be given for this category
- Nurse Aides/Health Assistants/Students (This is for the individuals who do not report CNEs to a Board of Nursing)
At the door registration:
Registration will be accepted at the door for a registration fee of $65

Continuing education contact hours for this event are provided by the Texas Department of State Health Services, Continuing Education Service and include the following:
Continuing Nursing Education:
The Texas Department of State Health Services, Continuing Education Service is accredited as a provider (P0180) of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
The Texas Department of State Health Services, Continuing Education Service has awarded 2.5 contact hours of Continuing Nursing Education.
Evaluations and CNE Certificates of Completion
RN's and LVN's are required to fill out an extra form. This form contains information needed to allow you to be added to the online evaluation site so that you can complete your online evaluation to obtain your Certificate of Successful Completion that verifies your CNE. If this form is not filled out you will not be added to the online database, thus will not be able to obtain your CNE credit. You will receive a link to this form in your confirmation email.
To receive CNE credit for this professional development event, RN and LVN participants will need to attend the entire conference, no partial credit will be given.
Participants will also need to complete the conference Session Evaluations, and the Overall Evaluation online for the 2.25 CNE credit hours approved by the New Mexico Nurses Association. Upon completion of the evaluation process, attendees will be awarded a Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) Certificate of Successful Completion.
Registered participants will receive an email from Express Evaluations with instructions about the online evaluation process. Instructions will also be given at the conference.
For the Jurisprudence and Ethics presentation there will be a separate sign-in sheet, and a written evaluation that must be filled out and turned in at the end of the presentation to receive a Certificate of Successful Completion.
Jaquelin Perez
Jaquelin Perez is a recent graduate of UTEP with a bachelor’s in psychology and a minor in criminal justice. Jaquelin is the Coalition Coordinator for El Paso Advocates for Prevention Coalition at Aliviane. She works towards establishing partnerships with different non-profits and other organizations in our community to achieve the prevention of substance use and misuse in El Paso. As well as providing education to parents, educators, and youth regarding the dangers of substance use and misuse, her work in the coalition aims to create environmental change in our community.
Francis Luna, MSN, RN, NCSN
Francis Luna, MSN, RN, NCSN graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing Administration degree both from the University of Texas in Arlington. She holds a Nationally Certified School Nurse Credential and is currently working as a School Nurse and Cluster Leader in Garland Independent School District. Her nursing experience as a school nurse spans over 20 years in both rural and suburban school settings. A strong advocate for improved student healthcare and school nursing practice, with foundational values of compassion, integrity, and ethics. Francis is the current Vice-President of the National Association of School Nurses and past president of the Texas School Nurses Organization. She was recently honored as the 2022 Texas School Nurse of the Year.
Robert Forti
Mr. Robert Forti is in his 26th year as a public educator. Mr. Forti started his career in El Paso, TX and has since taught, counseled and been a district administrator in parts of Arizona and Central / Southwest Texas. In 2016, Mr. Forti was encouraged to develop a presentation, from his Master’s Thesis, for Counselors and school Administrators alike for the Texas Assessment Conference. Since that time, Mr. Forti’s presentation on Understanding the Adolescent Mind has been shared with hundreds of educators across the Southwest. Participants learn the “Why” behind the thought processes of students and young adults from ages 12 to 28. Through the presentation, Mr. Forti will help adults find new ways to make better connections with their students and young adults.
