Bulldog Families,

Fall is in the air, and we are moving and grooving at Palermo Middle! Our teachers and staff are working hard to create learning experiences that support our Bulldogs in and out of the classroom. Classrooms are full of inquiry and discovery, and our after school Expanded Learning Opportunities offer something for all of our 6th-8th grade students.

Just like Fall sneaks up on us, so does the end of the first trimester. Please be sure to connect with your Bulldog to ensure that they are on track of keeping a 2.0+ gpa. If you have any questions regarding assignments, please reach out to your Bulldog’s teachers, as the upcoming break would be a great opportunity to complete missing assignments.

Bulldogs Families, our year is off to a great start, and I am looking forward to our time together on October 18th when Mister Brown comes back to Palermo to support us on our “Choose Well” message. Please place the 18th at 6pm on your calendar, as Mister Brown’s message is one not to miss!

Three friends were trick-or-treating one Halloween night. One a witch. One a vampire. One a zombie. As they were heading to house #13, they noticed a boy in a ghost costume who looked their age. The three friends asked if he wanted to join them. He replied with a creaky “yes”. As the three friends and the ghost boy went on, the ghost boy stayed very silent in the back of the group. Once they finished trick-or-treating the ghost boy spoke up. “I think I must go home now.” he creaked. The three friends offered to walk him home. He creaked, “No, thank you though.” They asked where he lived. He replied “The house up the hill.” All three friends looked at the haunted house at the top of the hill. It had a tree, a dying tree right next to it. All three friends were thinking the same thing: “He is a real ghost!” They turned back around, but all they saw was a spilled trick-or-treat basket lying where the ghost stood…
