Good afternoon Arrowwood Families,

Next week we will celebrate Veteran's Day on Monday, November 11th with many special guests. To show our patriotism, our November Life Principle, we are encouraging students and staff to wear red, white, and blue colors or other patriotic clothing.

Great Lakes Bay Health will be here on Tuesday, Nov. 12th starting at 8am to do short classroom presentations for the Dental Bus.

The other big event for the building is our Family STEAM Night on Wednesday night from 5:30 PM to 7 PM. Join us for adventures in science, technology, engineering, art, and math throughout the building. The first 75 families will receive a free pizza so dinner is included as well as materials to try activities at home too! We hope you can join us for this fun evening.

Arrowwood Elementary is currently seeking 1 individual to work as a lunch aid with the Eagles. Candidates must love kids, enjoying playing sports, and helping students with lunch. If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Ms. D'Haene

Report cards will be available to parents online and in paper form on November 12th. STCS elementary schools use standards based grading which aligns your child's progress to specific learning targets. The 4-3-2-1 scale reflects your student's progress for each area with a 3 being on grade level and where we want students to be. The scale does not correspond to traditional letter grades. Please see this graphic below with further information on standards based grading and our rubric. If you have any questions after reviewing your child's report cards, please reach out to their teacher for further explanation or clarification.

Congratulations to Noe Salazar, Trinity Scott, and Mariah Gunning! Each of these students will be recognized at the STCS School Board Meeting and have their artwork displayed in the Conference Center as part of the Rotating Art Show for the district.
