Art To Remember: It's Not Too Late
It's not too late to order from Art to Remember online! The cut-off for online orders is April 9th. Families may choose to ship to Hillside for delivery or may choose to pay to ship to your home. These late orders will have about a 2 week turn-around time. Depending upon when the order is placed, your merchandise may not be delivered at the same time as the main order. If you need your online code, please let our Community Club president, Courtney Rooney, know.
If you have questions, please feel free to email Courtney Rooney at d66hillside@gmail.com.
STEAM Night and Hillside's Science Expo
https://sites.google.com/view/hillsidesteamexpo/
The STEAM Expo is different from a science fair in that it is not a competitive event, and that it opens the doors for a wide variety of projects in the categories of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. If you have a student in grades 4-6 who is interested, now is the time to encourage participation!
Battle of the Books
GOOD LUCK to all students participating in the Battle of the Books!
The Battle will be held Saturday, March 21, at 8 a.m., at the Westside Middle School.
All ten elementary schools will be represented--for a total of 60 teams comprised of 260 4th-6th graders.
Since last summer and fall, students have been busy reading the ten Nebraska Golden Sower Chapter Book nominees and meeting with their teams to discuss the books.
Thank you to the many parents, librarians, teachers, and other staff who have encouraged students to participate in this quiz-bowl style competition that celebrates reading and fosters team spirit.
The Battle is sponsored by the Westside Community Council. You can find more details on the Battle of the Books website:

The Battle of the Books requires nearly 100 volunteers! Please consider giving your time to help make this event a success:
