Compiled for you by the Bellport High School Guidance Office
2024-2025
This newsletter is organized chronologically by month.
Nomination Scholarships
This newsletter is compiled by the Bellport High School Guidance Office as a service to the students and families of the South Country Central School District. In this newsletter, we only include scholarships that are sent to Bellport High School which require that the student receive a nomination from their high school before they may apply. As there are thousands of colleges and more scholarships than that, this is not an exhaustive list of available scholarships requiring nominations. If you find a scholarship requiring a nomination that is not included here, please contact your School Counselor in the Guidance Office for assistance.
Requirements
These scholarships require that the student:
- meet the college/university scholarship criteria
- have applied to or plan to apply to this college in the fall of senior year (pay careful attention to required deadlines as these scholarships may require early college applications which may have a different deadline than the request for nomination)
- receive a nomination from their high school
How to Request a Nomination
If you would like to apply for any of the scholarships in this newsletter, you will need to complete this form to request a nomination. You will be required to use a personal email address to apply. Student@southcountry.org email addresses will not be accepted. Please use an email address that you check on a regular basis.
Please note, you must submit one nomination form for each scholarship for which you would like to request a nomination.
If You Are Nominated
We will email you if you are selected for a nomination. We will also email you the next steps in the process. Students who are selected for a nomination would then be required to complete the scholarship application before the deadline by following the scholarship application requirements.
