Weekly Update
Holy Trinity Catholic School February 20th, 2025
Our Mission is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ,
to provide a high-quality education,
and to guide children in living the Catholic faith
Prayer
Dear God,
We ask for your guidance in our lives. Help us to make decisions that align with your will and purpose. May we seek your wisdom and direction in all that we do. Let your guidance lead us on the right path. Thank you for always being there to guide us. Help us to listen and be open to your leading.
Guide us to recognize and follow the promptings of your Spirit, even when they lead us outside our comfort zones. Help us to trust in your timing and to be patient as we seek your guidance. May we be attentive to the ways you speak to us through scripture, prayer, and the people around us.
We pray for guidance for those who are facing major life decisions. Provide them with clarity and confidence in their choices. Thank you for the assurance that you are always with us, guiding and directing our steps. Help us to walk in your ways every day.
Amen
A Note from Mrs. Longden
At Holy Trinity Catholic School, we take great pride in our school community. Our dedicated staff works tirelessly to ensure that every child feels supported and successful—not only in academics but also in their spiritual growth, collaboration, social skills, & leadership development.
We are excited that registration for next year is happening! Help us continue our long-standing tradition of educating and nurturing young minds by sharing this opportunity with those you know. Together, we can shape the future, one student at a time!
Excerpt from “Blessed is She”
It’s been one of those days, weeks, months. You know the ones. I’m pushing and striving and getting-all-the-things-done at record speed. I’m cranking out what I can (the things that require fewer brain cells than other things), and I am going 100mph on my hamster wheel. (Please tell me it’s not just me.)
I need a rest. I need a reset. I need a nap. I need a vacation. I need something. But even after the naps and the rests and the resets and the vacations, something is still pushing me to get back on that hamster wheel and run. Is this just what life is going to be and continue to look like? Run, execute, run some more, cross things off, run, get tired, rest, repeat?
What is my life supposed to look like? What do You want out of my life, Lord? He responds to me: A heart postured to Me. A heart at ease. A heart at peace. A heart floating in an ocean of grace.
Yes, please. Sign me up! How do I get there? On my hamster wheel? No. It’s
right here. In this moment with the Lord. In this kitchen or living room or bedroom or bathroom or closet. It’s here.
It’s taking a deep breath and realizing you haven’t taken one in a long while. It’s stretching your body and realizing there are spots that have long been neglected. It’s looking your child in his eyes and realizing a speck in there you never noticed before. It’s hugging your friend and realizing you can be Jesus to them in this conversation. It’s walking outside and looking at the sky and realizing you haven’t seen this color blue before.
It’s not running, it’s not striving, it’s not getting somewhere (or nowhere, really). It’s not a done to-do list and it’s not a day that feels successful. It’s breathing. And it’s seeing. And it’s looking. And it’s smiling. It’s loving your life, right where you are. It’s seeing your life and yourself through the eyes of the Creator—the One Who made you and delights in you. It’s looking in the mirror and realizing that when He created you He thought you were "very good." He finds you delightful.
(Even when you’re on the hamster wheel.) But He wants you to live alive, not on a hamster wheel. He wants you flying free, not trapped in a cage.
So if you’ve had intense days or weeks or months, be at peace. Let Him give you rest right in the midst of the chaos where it will no longer overwhelm you to the point of panic or anxiety but instead inspire you to breathe. He will fill your spirit with His presence, which won’t take away the circumstances but will redeem them. Hop off the hamster wheel, my friend. Set the to-do list aside.
Breathe in the presence of your Creator.
Blessings,
Mrs. Longden
2025-2026 Registration
Thank you for your continued support of Holy Trinity and for prioritizing Catholic education in your child’s life. Registration for the 2025-26 school year is underway.
Tuition alone does not cover the cost of your child’s education. In addition to your tuition, support from our parishes and monies raised by third source funding help to cover the remaining gap. Therefore, the support of your parish and various fundraisers significantly impacts the cost of tuition.
It is our belief that when you send your child to Holy Trinity you place a high value on quality Catholic education. Your investment is personal, precious, and lifegiving. May God’s blessing be with you as we work together to provide the best learning environment for your child(ren).
Registration is due February 25th. After that, the instructional fee increases.

Staff Updates
We have two staff members that have chosen to retire from Holy Trinity Catholic School at the end of the school year: Mrs. Diane Schickert and Mrs. Rosanne Hefter.
We thank them for all the years they have spent at Holy Trinity (Mrs. Schickert-31 years and Mrs. Hefter-16 years). They will be truly missed and we pray for them as they transition to retirement!

A Note from Mrs. Schickert:
Dear Holy Trinity Families,
I am writing to share with you that after much consideration, I have decided to retire from my position at Holy Trinity School at the end of this school year. This has not been an easy decision, as my time here has been incredibly rewarding and filled with wonderful memories.
I have truly enjoyed working with your children and being part of this incredible community. It has been a privilege to see their growth, learning, and development, and I will carry those memories with me as I begin the next chapter of my life.
Thank you for your trust, support, and the opportunity to be a part of your child’s education journey and lives. It has meant the world to me. I will cherish the friendships and experiences I've gained over the years.
While I am excited about this new phase, I will certainly miss all the students, staff, and families who have made this experience so special.
I wish you and your children all the very best.
Warm regards and blessings,
Diane Schickert

A Note from Mrs. Hefter:
After much reflection, I have decided to retire from my position as the First Grade Teacher at Holy Trinity School. This decision comes with mixed emotions, as teaching has been a deeply fulfilling part of my life.
It has been an honor to educate and support the students at Holy Trinity School and to work alongside such dedicated colleagues. The memories and relationships I have built throughout the years will always hold a special place in my heart.
As I prepare for the next chapter, I want to express my sincere gratitude for the support and opportunities provided to me. Thank you for the privilege of being part of this wonderful community. I look forward to watching the continued success of Holy Trinity School.
Sincerely,
Rosanne Hefter
