A spot in the state championship game will be on the line Wednesday night when the Hewitt-Trussville Girls Flag Football team travels to meet Spain Park. The game will begin at 6pm and will be played at the Soccer field on the Spain Park campus. The Huskies had a thrilling 27-20 overtime win in round three to advance to the state semifinals. The winner of Wednesday's game will advance to meet wither Auburn or Central Phenix City in the state title game.

The Hewitt-Trussville Boys Basketball team defeated Huffman 58-55 on Monday in the opening round of the Mike Dean Turkey Shootout in Cullman. The Huskies trailed 11-2 early in the game, but cut the Viking lead to 25-22 at halftime. The Huskies continued to rally in the 3rd quarter to take the lead.

Colt Wells and Ben Warren led the scoring charge for the Huskies as they scored 14 points each. Dave Carter also scored in double figures as he added 10 points. Tyler Wilson added nine points and Rashad Rolley scored seven points.

The Huskies now advance to the tournament semifinals where they will meet Albertville on Tuesday night at 6pm.

Hewitt-Trussville Wrestling will host the Patrick Aaron Memorial Thanksgiving Duals on Wednesday morning beginning at 9:00am. The event will be held at Hewitt-Trussville HS.

The HTHS Boys Bowling team and Girls Bowling team are both a perfect 4-0 in Region play. The Huskies picked up a sweep over Gadsden City last week. Carter Pannell led the Boys with a game of 180 while Sophia Shipman recoded the high score for the Girls.

HT Volleyball Seniors Kennedy Vincent and Madelyn Bromley were named to the All-South Metro Volleyball team. Full story linked below.

HTMS Cheer was the state runner-up in two categories at the AHSAA State Cheerleading Championship. The Gameday team competed against 26 teams and earned second place with a difference of 0.4 points from first place. The traditional team competed against eight teams and earned second place by a difference of 0.2 points.

The HTMS Boys Basketball teams traveled to Bragg last week and picked up two hard-fought victories. The 8th Grade Huskies won 39-33 and the 7th Grade Huskies won 39-37.

The Huskies will be ack in action on December 2 against Pizitz.

The 7th Grade Girls Basketball team defeated Bragg 58-4 at home last week. Livie Bullington led the Huskies in scoring. The Huskies will travel to Pizitz on December 2.

Both HTMS Bowling teams picked earned a sweep last week defeated North Jefferson and Thompson. The Huskies will finish the season on December 2 at the Metro Tournament.
