Cowan Road Elementary
Planning for Success in 2025-2026
Your voice matters! Please join us for our annual Title I required parent input meetings for Cowan Elementary's school improvement plan.
It is that time of year when our school starts to look at data from this school year (2024-2025) and plan for the next school year (2025-2026). As part of this planning process, you will be invited to share your feedback about our school's Title I Parent and Family Engagement Policy, the School-Parent Compacts, and the use of Title I Parent and Family Engagement funds. Make your voice count by attending a feedback meeting and by filling out the GSCS 2025 Spring Parent Survey.
Griffin-Spalding County Schools Spring 2025 Parent Survey
The Griffin-Spalding County School System (GSCS) appreciates your willingness to share your input in an effort to improve the parent engagement activities at our school and in our school system. The survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete and all of your answers will be confidential and anonymous. Only one survey should be completed per household. Thank you for participating!

Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)
Advances equity by upholding critical protections for America's disadvantage and high-need students.
Requires that all students in America be taught to high academic standards that will prepare them to succeed in college and careers.
Ensures that vital information is provided to educators, families, students, and communities through annual statewide assessments that measure students' progress toward those high standards.
Maintains an expectation that there will be accountability and action to effect positive change in our lowest performing schools, where groups of students are not making progress and where graduation rates are low over extended periods of time
ESSA can be found on the U.S. Department of Education website at http://www.ed.gov/essa?src-rn
