HAPPY SCHOOL LIBRARY MONTH FOR APRIL!
April is School Library Month! Libraries have many ways to help you Make Connections @ Your School Library! Stop in to
- see what's new,
- check out a book,
- borrow a DVD,
- take a WonderBook or a Playaway to listen to a story,
- use the Makerspace,
- print with our color printers,
- try out a game or puzzle,
- explore the college section,
- get technology help,
- read a book in Spanish or Arabic,
- find your favorite Manga or graphic novels,
- see the displays we have on Poetry, Women's History, Mental Health Wellness month, writing to persuade legislators, etc.
Reminders: Upcoming deadlines & dates
- May 1-5 - the library will be taking an inventory of all materials. If you have trouble putting a book on hold, notify the library.
- May 2: Last day for LL holds
- May 4: Last day for LL delivery
- May 11: MNPS and LL books due - BRING THEM BACK
- MS BOB: May 11 (Ms Chen will be at the NPL Main Library with middle school Battle of the Books students)
Return all laptops and chargers before school ends (We expect this to happen, so be prepared)

Asian Book Review Contest
The Greater Nashville Chinese Association would like to invite all K-12 student to participate the 2023 Asian Book Review Contest, hosted by API Middle TN, GNCA, and Nashville Chinese School. All review entries are due by June 30th. THIS WAS EXTENDED so you have time to enter.
Tech Help
If you are experiencing technical difficulties with your laptop, you can ask your teacher to SUBMIT A TECH SUPPORT TICKET or you can contact the library for help. Teachers can reset passwords to assist. Our TSS will bring replacement laptops to your classroom, so it's easier to have teachers submit tech support tickets.
At the end of the year last year, all students had to return laptops, power cords, and hotspots. We are waiting for word if that is the case this year. If you lose or damage your laptop the costs are:
$200 for lost, stolen, and damaged laptops
$40 for replacement screens
$17 for replacement keyboards
$15 for replacement power cords
Parents can pay cash at the front office for technology fees or they can pay online at https://mnps.schoolcashonline.com. In order to pay, you must set up an account and there are additional fees:
Lost laptop $209
Lost charger $16
Damaged keyboard $18
Damaged screen $42
For lost ID badges for high schoolers only, the district charges $15 if you pay cash at school. If you want to pay online at https://mnps.schoolcashonline.com there is an additional $1 charge:
