Congratulations to our October Students of the Month! Each of these students were selected based on their demonstration of the core value of Responsibility! We are so proud of each one of them! Congrats to Cai Woolsey, Isaiha Longoria, Jakob King, Lydia Gray, and Sebastian Olea!

Congratulations to Sophia Taylor (Cross Country) and Chace Macken (Football) on being named the October Student Athletes of the Month! We are so proud of how these students represent Newberg Nation in the athletic arena and in the community! Go Tigers!

Fall conferences will be held IN PERSON on Wednesday, October 16 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm in NHS Commons. Staff will host REMOTE conferences via Google Meets on Thursday, October 17 from 1:00pm - 5:00pm. Teachers will be reaching out to share information about how to schedule conference times. If you’d like to reach out to teachers of your student(s) in advance, feel free to email teachers to schedule a conference time.

As always, we encourage parents to reach out at any time to ask questions of teachers and inquire about student progress. We value your partnership in ensuring your child is successful in school.

Thursday, October 17th is a half day of school for students. Below is the bell schedule for that day.

Students, are you interested in becoming a lifeguard? Want to earn certifications while earning high school credit at the same time? If yes, well then you are in luck!

NHS is partnering with Chehalem Park and Recreation District to offer an Aquatics class next trimester. Classes will be held at NHS 3 days a week, and 2 days a week at the Chehalem Aquatic & Fitness Center, during 5th period.

After school support sessions will run from 3:15pm - 4:15pm, Tuesday through Thursday (each core content area will offer sessions). Please see the following chart for each department and the days they will be offering help! We will have an after school bus available Tuesday-Thursday for students who need transportation.

It's time to place your order for the 2024-2025 Yearbook! This book is on a fall delivery schedule so it will be available for pickup at picture day in the fall of 2025. Use the link below to order your yearbook.

Attention Seniors! Click on the button below to submit your senior photo for the yearbook! Senior photos are due by Dec 13th.

All students will participate in a Vision Screening Clinic on November 14th.The OLSHF will be using the Spot Vision Screener. It is a handheld, portable device designed to quickly and easily detect vision issues in people from 6 months of age through adulthood. This technology uses a special camera so instead of being required to read and recite letters, students simply look into the device as it takes some pictures. Based on those images, it will proceed to notify clinicians if it detects potential vision problems. The SPOT vision screen is 97% accurate.

We want to remind students that we have a Resource Room at NHS where we have supplies for any NHS or Catalyst student facing challenges getting school supplies and other basic need items as you prepare for the new school year.

During regular school hours we will be open M,W, F during student lunch periods.

In addition to school supplies we also have clothing, shoes, hygiene & household items (including feminine hygiene) and food including healthy snacks to help you through your day.

We're located in the K Building with the Student Based Health Center and we're staffed by our small team of volunteers. We'd love to support you with whatever you may need. We hope you'll stop in this year and see what we're all about.

Many districts across the State have adopted SAFE Oregon as their primary tip line. This summer, the Newberg School District has made it the primary source for reporting any issues that need the attention of the school. Tips can be sent by phone, text, via the web or through an app. At the high school, students have received this information in their class assemblies and school-wide safety videos.
